You only miss the waters when the well runs dry is a saying that hit Adriana hard now.Her parents had just died on a plane crash and now she was left alone.She wandered around hot tears overflowing, blocking her view but she didn't care for her life.What was life if she was alone? Beep!Beep! The hooting brought her to her senses and she tried to step away from the speeding car but it was too late.It hit her and she lost consciousness. She welcomed the pain knowing she would die just like her parents which was better than being lonely. Unfortunately for her she regained consciousness.She looked around and realised she was in a hospital with a handsome man cloaked as a priest holding her hand tightly with his head bent down as if he was praying.As if sensing she was awake he lifted his head and the distress on his face faded away adorning his handsome face with a smile. "Am sorry child i didn't mean to run you over. I was on the phone and didn't see you until it was too late. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything bad happened to you. Please forgive my recklessness,"the Father said. "It's okay am alive and kicking unfortunately,"she said smiling. "Hey don't jest about life.Thank God for every breath you take for he has a purpose for you." "I didn't want to live.I just lost my parents and its so damn hard,"she couldn't hold her tears anymore so she let them out."How can I start again on my own?" Engulfing her in a tight hug and kissing her forehead he said,"Don't worry i'll help you out. Am going to adopt you and you won't miss a thing in your life." "Thanks,i really need a new start and please give me your last name I don't want anything from my past. Am Adrianna Stewart." "Ooh you're the daughter of William Stewart and Annie Stewart?" She nodded."Sorry for your loss, i knew your mother in the good old days." "Ooh really? My mum never mentioned you before." "Well it was long ago and i don't blame her. It's like fate has brought us together so don't worry am going to take good care of you my daughter.So now you'll be Adrianna Willa.Such a nice name,"he said smiling. "Yeah a beautiful name. I now believe miracles can happen and i thank God." "Okay now you gotta eat , you're so emaciated,"he laughed and she smiled glad to have another person pampering her.It felt good. He fed her fries and chicken that he had ordered since the hospital food wasn't good and fruits insisting they were good for her health. By the time she was released, she was so full that she struggled sitting straight.She had suffered a mild headache that was going away thanks to the painkillers and her leg had twisted but it wasn't that bad. "Welcome to my home.I know its not as big as your mansion but it's not that bad,"he said smiling. Looking out , Adriana couldn't hold back her smile.It was a two storey building situated in a suburb environment.There was a beautiful garden with beautiful flowers and a big swimming pool.Wow! And he thinks it's small. "Are you kidding ,this house is huge and beautiful.Why do you need such a big house if you're alone?" "I stay with my staff and sometimes people come around to visit and some sleep which am so happy to welcome them.Now come let me help you get settled." He gave her a tour and introduced her to everyone.She was glad they weren't snobbish like the other servants in her previous home.The house was well furnished and it was lively.It felt like home unlike her other home that was always in a sombre mood.
