(Alex’s POV)
We approached the gates like it was an ordinary occurrence to have an entire pack just stroll up to your territory. Like “don’t mind us, we’re just out for a moonlit stroll”. I took a second to glance around and almost chuckled when I noticed the entire gang were surrounding me; April, Winter, and Bethany. Unsurprisingly, Jake was right at April’s side.
Jake wasn’t happy with one of her roles in this plan, but he would follow orders. Why? Because it meant her moving off on her own. Well, not completely alone, but not with me or Jake. I can’t say I was happy about it either, but I’m learning how to accept having a strong, capable, mate. (How’m I doin'?) But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
