(Alex’s POV)
I felt April’s pain in so many ways. I really thought getting Mark out of the way would be the beginning of the end of all this.
When I think back over the last month and a half, I can’t believe how different my life, all our lives, has become. I mean here I am mated to a beautiful woman whom I adore and who adores me. She treats me like a person and not like a walking wallet or some sorta' s*x machine. She’s not in it for a title or power. She loves me for me and it’s the best d*mn feeling in the world. I have also gained an entire new family, made friends with beings who aren’t even supposed to exist anymore, and I’ve grown even closer with my own family.
