(Alex’s POV)
I can’t believe it. A Dad. I’m gonna be a Dad.
I was still twirling April around in my arms when she said, “Babe, put me down… quick!” So I stopped abruptly and set her down gently on her feet. I swear she was no sooner on her feet and she was gone. She just ran off.
I thought I'd done something wrong when the waitress came over and very patiently said, “She’s fine, Alpha. She’s probably just a little woozy, is all.” I heard some of the other customers softly chuckle and I grinned. I know I shouldn’t be so thrilled that my girl's probably in the bathroom, sick. But… oh sh*t. She's in the bathroom! Sick! And she’s all alone!
I didn’t even think, I just ran into the ladies' room after her.
