(April’s POV)
I couldn’t rest. I know we were supposed to be doing so but I just couldn’t. I mean, I did get like half an hour's sleep but then I woke up and couldn’t go back, no matter how hard I tried.
Something just still felt off about today, but I couldn’t put my finger on what. It was driving me bonkers. And, of course, Raine was non-responsive at the moment due to her expending so much energy healing me after the explosion, so I couldn’t talk to her. So, I snuck out of the room while Alex was still resting and went down to get a bite to eat.
I know I shouldn't be out alone. The guys weren't gonna be happy with me. But it's only gonna take me five minutes to run down, grab some food, and run back. Besides, no one was even in the dining hall, really, so I just grabbed a sandwich
