(Alex’s POV)
When I woke up the next morning, I was surprised to find April was already gone. I quickly linked Jake to see if he knew where she was and he said he had helped her down to the conference room and she was in there alone working on the timeline.
I wasn’t sure if I liked the idea of her being all alone, but when I voiced that to Jake, he told me he had two warriors outside the conference room door. I was really relieved he'd thought of that, but he also had training to run today, so he couldn’t stay with her. He also had patrol last night, too. Poor guy sounded exhausted.
