I was glad April didn’t just kill Jennifer. There were a lot of people who deserved the right to know for sure what she had done. Who deserved the right to face her, to have their say, even to get some retribution if they wanted. Two of whom I was standing before right now. Thankfully, Jennifer had long, chestnut-colored hair which was cascading down my back right now, hiding her features from the twins. I couldn’t bring myself to tell them out here, in the middle of the forest, while we were stranded and awaiting transportation.
Plus, I needed them to remain focused. I couldn’t see them not having a melt-down over this. One twin more than the other.
