We were all pacing around waiting for the Council and our Dads to re-emerge from the conference room. When they finally did, Dad gave me a wink and a smirk and I couldn’t help the huge smile that slowly spread across my face as I linked with the gang and said, “They got the votes!”
Everyone was elated but we had to keep our game faces on. As Elder Leo passed us he also gave us all a smile with a slight nod. “F**ker is finally goin’ down!” Jake said in our group link and we all silently celebrated before going back outside to retake our seats.
