Stop Touching Me

CHAPTER 8 Lyra POV I stood from the bed, glancing around to see if there was anything I needed to take. I opened the door when I noticed the robe I was putting on. I shouldn't wear such a robe to the council meeting. If I knew nothing about the Wolf king, I could easily sense that. I turned around to locate where the wardrobe was, and I rushed back in. "Where is the wardrobe?" I muttered, walking around the spacious room. "Finally," I said, after finding Malrik's wardrobe. "Are you in, sir?" Malrik's Beta asked outside the room. "I will come in now." He replied, informing me when he didn't get any response from me. I rushed to the wardrobe, tearing through Malrik's wardrobe. None of the robes seems familiar to me, they all sparkled in different ways. They were all nice, all smelling of his scent. I had to pick something quickly before his Beta began suspecting. I grabbed the first formal robe I saw. It was black with gold trim. It seemed perfect for someone like Malrik. I raised the robe and threw it on. I fastened the robe clasp but it didn't seem to be working. I raised my head almost asking Malrik's Beta to help me out with it but I shook the thought off not wanting to cause much suspicion. I struggled with the clasps, rushing out of the room with his Beta rushing behind me. "Your Majesty," Malrik's Beta called behind me. "Are you...well?" He asked, worriedly. He tried to catch up with me, though I wasn't rushing too much but Marlik's speed was faster than I could have thought. He was the wolf king after all. "I'm fine," I replied. "Let's go," I added, still leading the way. "Greetings," The servants greeted, staring at me as we passed them. I made to wave my hands unconsciously but I stopped, hearing the servants whisper as they walked past me. "Did you see his hair?" One of them whispered. He looks disheveled." She added and I almost stopped on my track, when I heard another one speak. "What is he wearing?" She asked. "What's wrong with the Alpha today?" She questioned. I stopped on my track that instant and I sensed the maids also stopped in fear. I considered turning to question her but that would arouse more suspicion. "What is wrong sir?" Marlik's Beta asked. I glanced back slightly, turning to face the door again. "Nothing, let's go," I replied, adjusting the robe before walking to the door of the council room. The door opened and the sight of what I saw blew my mind. Stepping into the hall my gaze caught the stony thrones crafted with gold at the far end of the room. The throne was for the Wolf king. The bright light illuminating from it brightened the hall with the golden lanterns hung around the hall. My footsteps echoed in the quiet hall as I walked through the path leading to the throne. There were only twelve seats on the path and it was for the elders. The Elders stood with their heads as their gazes were fixed on me, of them all there was a certain one who seemed to stare much more than everyone present there. Elder Hudson. I walked to the path, heading to the throne prepared for the Wolf king. I sat on the throne when I noticed Alpha Thane seated to the right. His arms crossed. "Your Majesty," Elder Hudson called and I faced him. "Are you mocking us?" He questioned, suddenly. I raised a brow, confused by his question. "What?" I asked. I turned to the other side to see the High Priestess Maera who stood near the window. "Your attire." Alpha Thane asked, referring to my robe. "That's a ceremonial mourning robe." He added. The room erupts in murmurs, immediately he said that. I looked down at the robe on my body, I glanced around the room again seeing all eyes on me. The heat I felt flooded my face. This was wrong. With the look on their face, it was. I had to do something else that would be the whole discussion of the day. "Does it really matter what I'm wearing?" I asked. "It matters!" Elder Hudson slams his fist, furiously. "Traditions matter! You've disgraced this kingdom by failing the trials, and now you disrespect the council!" He yelled. Who does he think he was to yell at me that way? Was he no longer an Elder anymore? "I am the Wolf King," I yelled in Marlik's deep, commanding voice. "I wear what I want!" I declared and gasps echoed. They all exchanged glances among themselves, surprised by my response but I didn't care about what they felt at that moment. I had to put an end to the talk and I did that successfully. “Did you call me here to question me about my dressing?” I asked. “I thought you all had a reason to call for this meeting?” I asked. They all exchanged glances, probably trying to figure out who would speak. After a moment of silence, Elder Oran leans forward to speak. "The woman you brought from the trials." He paused, glancing around before speaking again. "She must be executed." He added. My stomach dropped again. Did they call for the council meeting to discuss that again. I had to put an end to every discussion about the execution after all. That was the right time. "No. She won't be." I replied. "The Moon Goddess has spoken." Priestess Maera replied, sharply stepping closer. "You failed her test. The temptation must die." She added. "You claimed she was nothing." Alpha Thane added. "Prove it. Let her die." He added, staring right at me. I was talking when suddenly I felt a phantom touch along my inner thigh. My body stiffened as I felt a rush of sensation run through my vein, I tried to speak again but shut my mouth feeling the phantom hand move up my thigh. Malrik. He was at it again. Wherever he was, he must be touching my body again. He was intentionally doing it again, knowing I would be at the meeting. This was his pay back. "Are you choosing the temptress over the moon goddess?" I heard the Elders argue. "She doesn't belong to the pack," Elder Hudson said. "Executing her early is the safest thing to do, Alpha." He added. If only they knew what they were doing, they wouldn't be asked for execution at that stage. I made to stand and speak but a heat pool low in my belly. I sat back on the throne, my grip tightened on the armrest as I bit my lower lips feeling another touch. Higher and teasing. Damn. My breath hitches as I tried to remain calm as I watched the Elders argue amongst themselves. "Are you even listening?" Elder Hudson asked, after a while of silence. The room became quiet as all eyes turned again to face me, demanding a response to what Elder Hudson had said. "The woman stays. That's final." I rushed, forcing focus and trying to avoid sounding strange. The heat hit me again and I stood immediately, needing to escape. "This meeting is over." I announced, storming out of the council room before anyone else could speak. I forced myself to run, in order to avoid suspicion. As soon as I stepped out of the room, I practically ran back to the suite in search of Marlik. I stopped on my track on entering the room to see Malrik in my body, lounges on the bed. He smirked when he saw me. "Did you enjoy the meeting?" He asked with a sly smile. His hand is between my legs, fingers lazily circling. My inner body reacted to his touch as he teases me. He stared back at me, and he made his hand deeper. "Stop. Touching. Me." I yelled. My voice came out strangled.
