There Was No Escape

Quickly, Neil jumped on Jill. He circulated the electric element in his legs. so, he dashed fairly quickly. His speed exceeded the speed of the blades that were thrown.

Neil hugged Jill from the front, and Neil pushed Jill down, they both fell to the floor. Jill didn't know anything was happening because she just closed her eyes. "Open your eyes, you're safe now" Neil tried to calm the terrified Jill down. Jill felt Neil's tight embrace.

Hearing Neil's voice that was so close, Jill ventured to open her eyes. She slowly opened her eyes. Jill's pretty brown eyes showed up. Those eyes were so teary, Neil smiled when he looked at those eyes. Neil said "it turns out that your eyes are more beautiful when you look closely"

Jill ignored Neil's eulogy, she couldn't stop being shocked, because she saw blood flowing around Neil's left shoulder. She stammered "Your shoulders ..."

Neil smiled again and tried to calm Jill down from panicking. He said "this is just a small wound, the most importantly, you don't get hurt"

When Neil embraced and pushed Jill. from behind, the knife that was thrown right hit Neil's left shoulder. The knife stabbed deep enough, half of the blade stuck into Neil's left shoulder. Blood flowed down from Neil's left shoulder, even some of Neil's blood dripped onto the floor.

Neil did not suffer the wound, his face looked normal. Like none of this ever happened. He was used to the torment he had received. so, the pain of the torture wound was worse than this knife-throwing wound.

Then Neil released his arms from Jill's body. He immediately got up and lends out his right hand towards Jill. He intended to help Jill up.

Jill took his hand and with Neil's tug, Jill stood up too.

Neil turned around, suddenly he was shocked to see Rott and Hert in front of him. He was surprised because they were the strongest guards in this tower. Neil muttered "hmm ... so this is Jim's plan, he made the upstairs guards leave their lair, brilliant idea, but I was at a huge disadvantage." Neil shouted at Gristie and Jill. "Ignore them, all we need to do is stay away from them as far as possible"

Suddenly, one thought crossed Neil's mind. He only saw Rott and Hert in front of him, but he didn't see Colt. Neil muttering "Wait a minute, where's Colt? I didn't see him at all."

Then Neil didn't care about Colt's absence, Neil thought, he only needed to run away from them. Then Neil said out loud "let's run away from here" Gristie and Jill ran first with their backs to Neil.

Neil was seen at the back of their line. Neil also ran away from Rott and Hert. Seeing that the three of them were about to run away, Hert quickly jumped towards them. He lightened his body with the wind, his jumps were so high and far, as if his body was like paper, so light.

Hert's Leap passed the three of them, their heads followed the direction where Hert jumped. Unexpectedly, Hert had landed on the ground, and he was standing in front of them. Hert wanted to block their escape route. Hert laughed and said "hahaha There's no way to escape from me"

Gristie and Jill stopped their footsteps, as did Neil. Then Gristie stepped forward towards Hert by taking out a white sword from its sheath. Jill also looks frightened and hides behind Gristie. Gristie said, "There seems no other way than to fight them." Neil casually said "haha, if there were you, maybe we could beat them"

Out of the blue, behind Neil, Rott swung his weapon, Rott swung the spiked iron ball with chains towards Neil. The attack was powerfully aimed at Neil.

Neil felt that he must to avoid it, then he turned around. Rott Angry said, "how dare you to turn your back on me, you trash rebel!"

Rott also pulled his chain, and the spiked iron ball was pulled towards him. The floor from the attack cracked and shattered.

Neil seems overwhelmed by Rott, Jill ventured by saying "let me fight too, I used to like cooking, so I'm used to kitchen knives"

Hearing Jill's words confidently, Neil suddenly pulled out the knife that had stuck in his shoulder. Neil's blood was seen flowing out more profusely. Then Neil handed the knife to Jill, and said, "You said you were used to knives right? Use this, help your friend beat the guard, let me face the man in chains."

Jill also understood Neil's words and she received the knife. She turned around and helped Gristie. Then Gristie altered her stance, saying "stay behind me, Jill"

Now their position is at the end near the stairs between the 5th and 6th floors. While Neil was right in front of Rott, Neil was against Rott. As for Gristie and Jill were right behind Neil. The two of them faced off against Hert who was right in front of them both, near the stairs between the 5th and 4th floors.

In another place, on the 10th floor, Colt was waiting on the 10th floor. It turned out that his guess was right, what he suspected was true. Not long after that, suddenly, Jim came carrying a woman from the stairs down to the 10th floor.

Seeing Jim carrying the woman, Colt Said arrogantly "hahaha, you can't trick me, intruder"

Jim was shocked to hear the sound, and it turned out to be very true, what he was worried about was happening, he saw Colt right in front of him, and intended to stop him.

Quickly, Jim put Eliza on the floor and leaned his back against the wall near the stairs. Jim stroked Eliza's head and said "wait here"
