Ariana’s POV
I stood naked in front of a mirror with the phone in my ear listening to what the man had to say. I did not want to take this route but the man had given me no choice.
He was trying to use me and I was not going to be used.
I had grown up in a very rich home but after finding out that my father was a ruthless politician who killed people if he did not get his demands, I ran away from home to avoid seeing his evil deeds. He was also a mafian boss which scared me to death.
To stay under the radar, I had changed my name and started answering a new name. I worked as a waitress to stay away from him.
I knew meeting Harry was a mistake and now I was regretting it. If only he could stop acting the way he was acting that would make things easier for me but he was a jerk.
If he went on to drag me to court, I would be on television and my father would easily get wind of the case. I had to make sure the case did not reach that level.
“Fine,” I sighed, picking up my gown to put on, my n*****s pointing from the sides as I walked to the window.
“So you agree to marry me?”
“Contract marriage,” I corrected. “Only a maniac would get married to you without getting burnt. I can’t believe I’m being dragged into this.”
“I’m curious. You know my reason for getting married to you, what is your reason for getting married to me?”
“Don’t push it,” I sighed. “The wedding should be a very small wedding. If it passed your parents I won’t be there and I will not appear in court either. I will disappear and you will not hear from me again.”
“I can’t have that happening. I already texted my sister and told her that I’m getting married. I’ll accept your terms but you’ll also hear mine.”
“These terms are better explained in person. Where are you?”
“In my room,” his sassy comment came on.
“Jesus Christ, Harry. Stop playing around for once and actually listen to yourself.”
“I’m sorry,” he chuckled. “Let’s meet at the national park.”
“Thirty minutes.”
“One hour.”
“Thirty minutes and it’s not up for a negotiation.”
With that I dropped the call, stripped off my clothings and jumped into a trouser and a shirt. I looked at myself in the mirror, scattered my hair even more and exited the house.

Twenty minutes later, I was at the park waiting for the man to show up. Getting out my phone I started to play a game in it.
I watched the ball in the phone bounce around as it turned into a bullet which hit a man in his head. I watched him drop dead and bleed out. That was how my father had killed his competitor to get into the post he was in. He was a murderer and I did not want anything to do with him.
“You chose the most public of places for this gathering,” a voice said, getting me back to the present as I looked up to see him standing in front of me.
“This was your idea,” I frowned as he sat down.
“I know, and I’m now regretting it so I’m pinning it on you.”
“Whatever,” I shook my head.
“How far gone are you?” he asked, looking at my stomach.
“Dude, relax. You should know babies don’t grow as fast as you think. We had s*x two weeks ago so chill. We’ve got time.”
“In seven months time that little child will be mine.”
“Nine months and what the f**k man. Don’t you know anything about babies?”
“No I do not. I haven’t had one before.”
“Didn’t you learn about this in your schools?”
“Firstly I went to a business school from elementary till my tertiary. We did not have time for babies and secondly, why are you being so mean to me? It’s not like I did anything horrible to you?”
“We can start with the fact that you pushed me away to take care of the child myself.”
“I clearly made a mistake on that one.”
“Yeah no shit.”
“But you were so sweet and so…”
“What are your terms, Harry? I’ve got things to do and I’ve got to get back to work.”
“My terms are simple. Since this is a contract marriage, you will love me affectionately in public and you will protect me no matter what. Out there we are one. Do not show a divided front or we would be eaten alive and our plans will be seen through.”
“That doesn’t sound much like a term. I can do all of that.”
“Then you’ll have everything provided for you. Also you need to quit working at the clubs and come stay at the house with me.”
“Are you insane? I’ll leave my job for what?”
“How much do you get paid there?”
“Three thousand dollars, excluding taxes,”
“I’ll pay you thirty thousand dollars monthly. Is that a better deal for you?”
“You can’t buy me.”
“I’m trying to make a reasonable deal here,” Harry grunted. He was tired of me fighting him back. He only wanted me to answer to his terms positively, but I was not that type of girl. “I have billions on the line and I need to get my money back or else it’s going to be a rough time for a lot of us out there. Now please if you will, accept my apology and help me get back my money.”
I could see that he was really in dire need of my help. Thirty thousand dollars seemed like a better amount. It was what I roughly made in a year anyway.
“Fine,” I succumbed to his wishes. “What’s the contract duration?”
“One year. After that we can see where we go from here.”
I could not argue with that. It was a better deal. I would be with him for the better part of a year.
