Attack

As the two women stood there stunned at what they had just witnessed, Daisy suddenly smelled something she had never smelt before as Megan went on alert. "Tell Eric where we are, and that Rogues are between us and the Pack grounds." Megan said as she left her hands elongate into her dangerous Lycan Claws. Daisy did what she said as she felt Eric in her mind. 'Megan and I are cut off by Rogues, we need your help.'she said showing him where the trail was to where they were. She heard the distant howl from the Pack, as the Rogues entered the clearing. She knew they were miles away from the Patrols, and it would take their backup 10 minutes to arrive. "Well well well, what do we have here. 2 little Lycan Ladies that are far far away from anyone who can protect them." the man said as he walked towards them and 10 Rogues flanked either side of him as more encircled them in the trees. "What do you want?" Megan asked him ignoring the insult as she prepared to deal with what she knew was coming. Daisy was smiling as she prepared to have fun with these Scrawny Wolves. "Your deaths will send a powerful message." he said as the Wolves that had been flanking them attacked. Megan crouched and growled as the first ones leapt at them, and a fireball exploded the center one sending bits of bone shrapnel into the others as the Rogues Howled and began attacking from all directions. The one still in his Human form watched in horror as they both changed, and Daisy spread her arms calling powerful bolts of light ing into the area striking atleast another 5 before she began fighting close quarters with her claws. She watched as the leader shifted and charged at her before she used her power to catch and hold him as she lifted him up to her face before she roared, and threw him into a rock that cracked when he hit it, shattering his spine. 10 minutes later King Eric and the Guard arrived to find Daisy and Megan standing in the center of nearly 50 dead Rogues, both of them covered on blood from the battle. Before he could even shift back he watched as Daisy lifted her head, and let out a powerful howl that called to his very soul. He knew that she was calling her victory, as would every Wolf within 20 miles who heard it. "What the hell?" Daniel asked as he shifted back to his Human form along with Daisy and Megan. "Report Megan." Eric demanded as he shifted along with Daisy and the other Lycans of the Guard. "Sir, we need to discuss a few things in private later. Suffice it to say the threat has been neutralized." Megan said as she looked around. "How many of these kills are yours?" he asked her surprised both women were unharmed. Daisy looked at her and nodded, knowing Megan had vowed to keep her secret for a shirt time. Daisy had just wanted it to be longer than it was. "Perhaps 15 of them." she answered as everyone's eyes went wide. They knew that would mean that over 30 of them were killed by the future Queen. "Send a ranging Patrol, and contact any Packs in the vicinity. I want within 10 miles of all Packs thoroughly scouted." Daisy said as the Guards bowed and moved to obey her orders. Eric did not argue as he sent the command to the Alphas as well, to relay to their Packs across the continent. He waited until they were alone before he looked at the two women. "Why are you out this far from the Pack territory?" he asked Megan. "Sir, the tests shown she is not the daughter of General Knight." Megan said simply as Eric nodded. "Very well, we will determine which family is hers." he said as Daisy shook her head no. "What do you mean no?" "The comparison was negative." Daisy said to him simply. He looked at her confused. "What comparison?" he asked looking between them. "Sir, the Prophecy of Jane." Megan said as his eyes went wide. "What were the results?" he asked. "Negative. She is Lycan, but not related in any way to Jane or Ashley." Megan replied as Daisy watched his eyes go even wider. "Shit." was all Eric said as he looked at Daisy before looking at the ground around him. "Daisy my love, just how much training have you had?" he asked as she smiled. "I began training as soon as we got into school. My trajectory was always to be a battle mage, and was classified as a Class 6 Master of all Spell Classes." Daisy said as she looked at him with a proud smile. "Is that a problem?" she asked as he shook his head and looked closer at the bodies and how they died. Over a dozen were the result of lightning strikes, 6 from the fireball, and the rest had been killed by hand to hand combat as he heard the one she threw against the rock groan. "Leave him, the guards can take him for interrogation when they finish the patrol." He looked at how the Rogue had collapsed, and could tell no matter what he did, this Wolf would never walk or shift again. Not even the moon would be able to force him to shift. "Daisy, who did him?" he asked as the first if the Guards returned. "I did." Daisy answered as he shook his head. "Remind me not to piss you off." he said as he stood up and looked at the guard who shook his head. "Very well, wait for the others and take him to the Dungeons. I have some important questions to ask him." Eric said as he walked over to Daisy. "Shall we return to the Pack?" he asked her and she nodded. Daisy woke up laying in the bed, and did not remember even coming back to the Pack house, let alone to the bedroom. She got up and heard the voices of Megan and Eric talking in the other room as she opened the door. "-she was incredible. If not for her today sir, I would not have survived." Megan said. Daisy waited with the door barely cracked. "I am more interested in what Selene said. For years the Rogues have been attacking more and more, and suddenly this Prophecy is activated. There is something bigger going on, and we need to determine what it is." Eric said as Daisy could tell he was pacing. "What's more is once these tests are confirmed at the Lycan Pack, we cannot conceal them from the Elders." he said. "If they haven't been informed already." Megan reminded him as there was a policy that the Packs were supposed to follow. If they remembered it. "Let us hope that they have not yet been informed. It would be dangerous for this news to get out to fast." he said as he stopped pacing. "Agreed Majesty, especially should your brother find out." Megan said as Eric growled. "I will kill him if he tries anything." he replied coldly as a knock sounded. "Enter." he called as the door opened. "Sir, several Packs are reporting large camps of Rogues. Each one with 100 or more outside of the Northern Wastes. The one we have says that there are too many to be supported, and they have no choice but to come into our lands to grow food so others may survive." the guard reported. "Why did they attack?" he demanded. "Theybwere defending another camp we located 10 miles away. We have taken 25 Rogue Women and 18 children prisoner. What should we do?" he asked as Daisy walked out to him. "Tell the women to select a representative and escort her here." Daisy ordered before Megan or Eric could say a word. The guard looked at Eric who nodded before he bowed and left the room to obey. "What are you planning?" he asked her as she came and sat down. "What happened?" she asked him as she looked at the time and saw it was 6 hours later than she had known. "Just before we left the clearing youncollapsed and I carried you here." he said looking at her concerned. "The doctor said you used to much magical energy during your encounter." She sighed as she nodded, having experienced it a few times before. Nothing as long though. 'That isn't exactly correct.' her Wolf said in her mind. 'How so?' Daisy asked her. 'It would take too long to explain. Let's just say your true powers are beginning to awaken, and you had to be unconscious for the first part.'her beast said with a hint of amusement. "Why do you want to speak with these women?" he demanded to know. "What were they doing in such a large camp, and why are there so many of them?" she asked him. "Tell the scouts I want full reports on their activities before we decide how we will respond." she said to him as his eyes went wide. "We will respond as we always have, they will all be killed for this." Eric said as Daisy looked at him with a hint of a smile. "How many children would you make Orphans, or shall you kill them all too?" Daisy asked him as she looked at Megan who bowed her head. "Of course I would not kill children." he said appalled at what she was suggesting. "How many camps have been found?" she asked. "9, each with atleast 100 Rogues." Megan said from the report. "How many of them are children?" she asked. "This is behaviour we have never encountered before, and we need to understand what made the change. Otherwise we are blind about what the future holds." Eric looked at her surprised that she was actually right. They had encountered wandering groups of maybe a dozen Rogues at a time, but never camps of a hundred or more. "Order the men to recon the camps only, none are to be attacked. I want to know what they are doing." Eric ordered as she nodded and began spreading the word. It only took another minute for the guard to return, escorting a skinny woman who looked to be about 30 into the room with her hands bound by silver behind her. "You may free her hands." Daisy said to the guard who nodded before he did so and made the woman sit in the hair across from the two of them. "What is your name?" she asked as the woman rubbed her wrists. "Delilah, what do you want?" she demanded making Eric growl as Daisy looked at him. "To talk." Daisy said as she slapped Eric's arm. "Behave." she said to him as he sat back and folded his arms. "Why should I tell you anything. You will just kill us anyway." she said crossly as she looked at the king. "Won't you King Eric?" Daisy this time growled making the woman turn back to her. "If you wish to ensure your death by the quickest possible means, than by all means refuse to speak with me. You will seal the fate of every Rogue with you, including the children." she said as Eric looked at her and the womans eyes went wide. "What do you want to know?" Delilah asked sounding defeated. "Why are you camped here?" Daisy asked. "To grow food." she answered as Eric looked at the crops theybwould have supported over a thousand Wolves through the winter. The pictures from the other camps also showed they were growing far more food than they needed by several times. "Why here, why now?" she asked. Delilah looked at her. "Why do you care? We both know Wolf law demands you kill us for violating the decree of War Chief Jane." Daisy looked at her closely, and didn't know how she know. "We will see about that, as I believe it is time things change between our two peoples. From what I can see, you are no threat to us. If you are willing that is." Daisy said as Eric mind linked her. 'What are you doing?' he asked her. 'What I am meant to do. Will you trust me?' she asked turning to look at him. He nodded as she turned back to Delilah. "Willing to what?" the frightened woman asked. "Tell me why so many Rogues have made camps larger than we have ever seen? Why each of them is growing many more times food than all of you could eat in a single winter?" Daisy asked her. Delilah snorted as she looked at Daisy. "Because the Rogue Nation can no longer supply the amount of Wolves we have with what we can supply in the Wastes. If we don't countless thousands will starve to death." she said as she leaned forward. "Thanks to the loss of this camp, 2 villages will die this winter. Over a thousand Wolves." Eric was even shocked at that, as Daisybleaned forward. "Tell me Rogue, how many have you killed?" Delilah laughed as she looked at Daisy. "I have never killed anyone, nor has any of those with me." she replied daring Daisy to question her. "I think I can work with that. If I assure you that we will provide the resources needed for these villages this winter, will you deliver a message for me?" Daisy asked her. "What message?" she asked. "Tell Marcus it is time we spoke." she said simply as Eric about choked as Delilah was surprised. "What of those with me?" she asked. "If we have your word and theirs that they will not leave the Camp until they return to the Wastes, we will return them to it amd set a guard. That way your work thus far is not a total loss. You will be given leave to pass through our lands, and we will not destroy the others until I speak with Marcus." Daisy told her bluntly. It was all she was willing to offer at this time. Delilah was shocked at the offer, as they had known it was a major risk to come here. Marcus himself had warned them that they would be killed if discovered. "Where will this talk happen?" she asked. "He will never agree to enter your lands." "When you return, you will tell the guard here where the location I am to meet him at the border." Daisy said as she laughed. "No, not the border. That is Feral territory and he will never agree to it." Delilah said giving them more intel than they had in years. "Than that will be what you are required to return with. How long will it take?" Daisy asked. "I would not return for several weeks, potentially when it is time for the harvest to return. The journey is far, and far from safe." she said shaking her head. "I agree to your terms, and will send word to the other camps that they are not to travel more than half a mile from them." she said as Eric nodded.
