Kevin had not lied when he said they would take days, and her memory of classes she had taken as a freshman were tested to their limits. Daisy however felt she had done well in them when she collapsed on the couch waiting for Eric to finish with his seemingly endless meetings.
She however had read a great deal of what Jane had written, especially as she knew it related to her. It had given her the first real idea about what she would do, she just needed to know if it would work. She however had no idea on how she would test the theory until she encountered a Rogue willing to rejoin the Wolf population.
She relaxed for a bit before she went to the library, as she had finished the latest book she was reading, and sighed as her three guards set themselves around her as she walked. They followed her absolutely everywhere, and she was desperate for even a little time to herself. She didn't even stop at the desk for the Archivist who maintained this library as she went to the section sje was working from, and put the book back of the shelf where she had found it the day before.
Daisy looked at the books, trying to decide which one to read next when something made her turn and look at the bookcase behind her. It was also about Jane, most of the books detailing the different things she had accomplished, when a book caught her eye on the center shelf. The title had caught her attention, as it was in the completely wrong section when she went to grab it, and she heard a latch unlock as the case pushed itself inward to reveal a hidden office with even more books.
The one on the desk was calling to her, so she walked over and read the title before she sat down. 'The Next War Chief' it said in its hand written text. She opened the book to the first page, and knew that what she had found was for her alone. It wasn't the vague writings she had left for all of the Lycans to read, but detailed descriptions of exactly what she had done, and why the Rogues she had to free were so vital.
'Daisy, long will it be before this room is discovered, and the books contained herein are to help you on your journey. This book especially cannot be used by another besides you, as you find yourself traveling the path laid before you. Just as I did before you, it is a Path you must walk alone. How you wield this power guided by what motivates you to act.
'For better or worse, there is no other with the ability to change the world in the ways you can. Follow your instincts, and listen to your beast. She is more special than you will ever know, as my daughter will watch over you. Keep Iris safe, as she will you.' the hand written text said as Eric entered the doorway.
"We always suspected she had a hidden office in here." he said as he looked at the. bookshelf and saw the books the Archivists had been searching for for millennia.
"She also knew a lot more than she let on apparently." Daisy said letting him read the note. His eyes going wide as he read it before he looked at her.
"Jane only had a Mortal son, and a Celestial Daughter." Eric said quietly worried about who could hear. "Who is Iris?" he asked curious.
'Is he dense?' her beast asked in her head making her giggle.
"That is the name of my beast." Daisy said as he looked at her.
"Oh, this could be very interesting than." Eric said with a smile. "They believe because of those tests that you have no connection to the War Chief."
That bit of news had her beast laughing in her head as Daisy smiled. "Let them continue to believe that than. It will make it so much easier in the long run." she said as she looked at him to see his reaction.
Eric smiled deviously as he looked at her before looking around the room closer. "How did you find it? We have been looking for this office for a very long time." he asked curious at what was in here.
"Found a book that didn't belong in this section of books, and pulled on it. It opened the door." she told him as he smiled.
Eric shook his head as he walked over to it and knew the exact book she was referring to. He tried pulling on it, and it still wouldn't budge even a little. "Well the Elders will have to reassess their position with this development."
Daisy smiled as she walked over to it and shut the door, locking them inside as she hugged him. "We need to talk." she said knowing the office was spelled so they would not be overheard. It was the first time she had felt they truly had privacy since she had met him.
"Why do those words always scare me?" he asked as she lead him to the love seat that was still there.
Daisy laughed as she made him sit down before she sat on his lap. "Because you think it is something bad that will happen." she said with a smile. "However it isn't, as what I wish to discuss is actually a good thing. You see, the Elders have not admitted it yet, but I am fairly sure that not only did I pass their assessment, but I aced their assessment on all subjects." she told him as he looked at her in surprise.
"How can you be so sure?" he asked her as she smiled.
"Well, I kind of went to extra classes compared to the other students." she said vaguely knowing she had already planned her future. She opened her bag, and handed him a small envelope as she took out a larger one. "Either way we would have met in short order." she said as he opened it and saw she had been this years winner of the Royal Lycan Scholarship for scholastic Excellence. He had remembered reading her essay, and seeing her grades before she had been approved for a full 5 year scholarship.
"Holy shit." he said as he looked at the larger envelope and saw how thick it actually was. "Oh this is going to boggle their minds. What is it you wanted to discuss?" he asked her knowing she would be easily able to attend school if she wished even without it.
"What exactly is it they will expect me to do now? Those exams were simple, and I have no desire to be some arm candy that only attends parties and relies on guards to protect me from every falling branch. I am a fully trained battle mage that could show your own troops a thing or two, and I have no desire to give that up." she said as she felt his d**k harden between her thighs as she spoke.
He cleared his throat as she teased him a bit adjusting where exactly it was poking her as they both blushed. "Personally, I would be honored to have you fight by my side. It makes it easier knowing that you can protect yourself, and I will have the guards not be so close. They however will never truly leave you alone, as they are literally the Queens Guard." he said with a smile before she kissed him.
"The Elders will not fight me on remaining a Mage?" she asked.
"They would probably feel better if you were able to stay at the rear and heal the wounded," he said as she growled at him. "But they won't be able to stop you from fighting with the Army."
Daisy smiled as she looked at him with a smile. "Than that only leaves one thing to discuss." she said as she blushed even harder.
"What is that?" he asked her concerned.
"When the hell are you going to mate and mark me?" she asked as she turned on his lap so she was sitting on him and kissed him passionately.
It only caught him off guard for a moment as his beast began purring, knowing that they didn't have to wait any longer as she undid his pants. "Why the sudden urgency?" he asked huskily barely able to control his Wolf as he felt the warmth begin to spread through her. She was coming into heat, and he knew that it would likely be several days before he got more work done.
