25 THREE WEEKS LATER …Madie stretched out in the chair on the deck of Cody’s cottage, watching the easy flow of the river before her. She slipped her hand to the back of her neck and massaged the taut muscles down to the top of her spine. Cody joined her with a couple of Okanagan Lights. He handed her one of the bottles. “Here.” “Thanks.” Madie took a couple of swigs. She bent her head from side to side, cracking the bones to release the pressure.
