Cam met with Maggie again late that night. The files lay open on the dining room table, the pages spread across the surface, just as she’d left them. Once again, as she had every night for the past two weeks, Cam had gone through the reports that had been compiled from Dan Wilson’s and Kathy Sheldon’s attempts at breaking the drug ring in Hagerville. Photos of the three people, two guards and one inmate, who seemed to be at the pinnacle of the ring, sat on the top. The faces, and their names, were burned into Cam’s memory. They were the three people she had to watch most closely and they were the three she had to be most careful of.
