After leaving her house, Julia ran through the woods. She loved running, especially alone in the forest. First she didn't have any goal with her run she just wanted out of the house, but after some time she realised she was running in the direction of Silver Lake. The lake was special for all magical beings, twice a year at the summer solstice and the winter solstice, the lake were blessed by the moon goddess and a few lucky beings would be allowed to drink from the lake and receive a gift from the goddess herself. If you tried to touch the water any other day then during the solstice, you would get burned. The Silvermoon pack had been its guardians for as long as anyone could remember. And before the war it was always a big feast where all kinds of creatures came to for the chance to drink of the water. It was said that the Alpha and Luna of the Silvermoon pack would get a vision of sort to tell who the moon goddess had chosen for her blessing. But after the war and the death for Julia's grandmother no more feast was held and her grandad forbid anyone near the lake during the solstice. Julia's uncle Bryan continued following his father's wishes when he took over as Alpha. The rest of the year the wolfs of the silvermoon pack was allowed near the lake but all other magical beings had to stay away. The few that had tried to go there were captured and tortured and showed off as waring to anyone else trying. Because of the danger of touching the water most of her pack stayed clear of it except during the fullmoon when the lakes surface changed and looked like silver, that is why she loved going to the lake, so she could be left alone. She could think and breath and just be. The solitude at the lake helped her calm her nerves, and she had been needing it more and more lately. The more days that past without her shifting made her feel like she was losing her mind and life at the same time. When she was almost there she stopped running and walked slowly through the bushes surrounding the lake. She had a favourite spot on some low cliffs at the shoreline where she usually sat and watch the lake. It gave you a good view and you could see down to the bottom of the crystal clear water. It had to be at least 2 meters deep at the cliff but she was not sure. She just guessed it to be around that due to all the fish and other creatures she sat there watching. This autumn day was a warm day and Julia sat down by the cliff with her feet dangling over the edge. She looked out over the water and follow the suns glittering shine on its surface with her gaze. Taking in a deep breath she closed her eyes and started to meditate.

Aldon felt the reage boiling in the body as Mark lost control, and Aldon took over and jumped out through the doors, running fast into the woods. Stupid human, calling him Wolf. He didn't like the name the others had given him but being unable to communicate with anyone, he was stuck with it. When he had first shifted, he had felt the power surge through his body but quickly realised something was wrong. He couldn't connect to Mark, their whole life Aldon had waited patiently for Marks human body to be ready to take on Aldons power and when the time came they were not complete. Aldon had been feeling angry over it ever since, lashing out on anyone and everyone. Not being able to connect to his human, he had no one to help him keep his temper in line. A wolf and its human balanced each other, and when they worked together they were at their strongest. And being an Alpha, Aldon wanted more strength and power than he had. He had known about the curse ever since it was put on the family but never had he thought it would affect them in this way. He could see and hear Mark when Mark was in control but he couldn't communicate with him or anyone else. And it seemed as Mark blacked out whenever Aldon took control. He had tried many times to get to the Silver Lake during the solstice, Aldon thought that maybe the moon goddess could help them reverse the curse, but the lake was too heavily guarded. So for the past few months when he was on his own he had tried to fine a way to get there without been spotted and last night he found it. Even though most of that filthy pack of scum where out and running around the lake no one had seen him, or noticed his scent. He decided to go to the lake again. Today should be a fairly safe day, all wolfs wanted to run during the full moon and the Silvermoon pack weren't any diffrent.
As he suspected the border patrol was not on its A-game today. He could easily pass them and head deep into Silvermoons territory, when he was getting closer to the lake a faint smell hit his nose, he went still and just breathed it in, the smell of sweet eucalyptus. He felt how his whole body started to relax and feeling warmer. His heart rate that had been high from both the running and adrenaline of being in enemy territory slowed down and he felt at peace. But he wanted more of the smell, it was to faint, so he started to follow it and when he got closed to the lake he could sense he was not alone anymore. With the cover of the bushes and trees along the lake he slowly approached and came to a complete stop when he saw her. The big wolf laid down on all four and rested his big head on the ground not letting the girl out of his sight. Mate. He had found her. He had to fight every instinct of his that told him to run to her and claim her, because he would only frightened her. He could tell she didn't have her wolf yet, and without being able to communicate with his human he had no way to tell her that he is her Mate. She would only see a big wolf, a wolf that didn't belong to this land and she would call for help. Without her wolf she had no way of knowing who he was to her. So Aldon stayed exactly where he was. Content with just looking at her and breath in her delicious scent. Happy that he had found her.

Julia slowly opend her eyes and look around. Something was diffrent from a moment ago. She couldn't put her finger on it but there was something. She look around the lake but couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, nor could she hear anything. But the feeling wouldn't let go of her. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and that is when she noticed it. The smell of eucalyptus. It was very faint but it was there. She couldn't tell were it came from but she was absolutely certain nothing around the lake would give of the smell of eucalyptus. It felt out of place but at the same time it gave her a sense of calmness, that she didn't had to be frightened by it. She scanned the treeline and tried to see past the bushes but the forest was to thick and deep for her to see anything without her wolf vision. But then the peace was broken by the sound of voices. Julia could tell that it was her uncles patrol team coming. Very unprofessional of them to be so load. Any intruder would hear them come and be able to slipp away. But she was still grateful because she had no intention of staying here when they arrived, she didn't feel for having to explain what she was doing there. So she quickly left the lake behind her and soon the smell of eucalyptus was gone, making her miss it immediately.
