Glynn's P.O.V. " So are you from around here?" I asked Kelly as she stared out at the water in front of me. " Yes" she replied and I waited for more but nothing came. " Do you know of any places to get a good burger around here?" I asked trying to get her to talk to me. " Yes there is a place by the big lake, it's a bar and grill. It's open till midnight, if you want something like that. Not many places around here to eat, probably like your used to." " Oh really, and what do you think I'm used to?" I said as she looked at me with a smirk. " Well if I'm right, your a city boy who has everything he needs at his beck and call, including women" she said as I just laughed. " Yeah well you're correct on some parts, but not all" I said. She just shrugged her shoulders, she looked as thought she had the weight of the world on her shoulders but tried to be dismissive about it. Kelly's P.O.V This guy was really bugging me, I didn't want to be bothered and he just kept asking questions. " Don't you have somewhere else to be?" I looked at him as he just smirked. " What about you? You look a little young to be out by yourself" he retorted and I just laughed. " For your information, I'm old enough thank you very much " I said as I got off the rock and started walking back toward my Jeep. I heard his footsteps following me and I just got in my Jeep and started her up. He tapped on my glass and I rolled down the window, " Yes?" " Well I was wondering if you could show me where this bar is, that you were mentioning earlier?" He said as he smiled at me with a megawatt smile. " Uhh fine, just follow me" I said as he nodded and got into in his all black Jeep. " If you can follow me..." I said to myself as I cranked up my music and took off. I had to give it to Glynn, he kept up with me, even when I hit a ditch and crossed over the median to the other side of the road. The entrance was on the opposite side of where we came from, so you had to do a U turn in order to get to the driveway. As we pulled up to Mac's Bar, there were a few trucks and cars here. Friday's were usually busy but with the summer winding down, it wasn't as busy with just the people who lived around here. I got out as Glynn jumped out of his Jeep. " Wow cowgirl, you trying to lose me?" He smiled as I just looked at him and shrugged. " Here you go, have a nice time" I said as I walked in and he grabbed my hand. He looked at me sweetly, " Will you eat with me? I'm new around here and I could use your help about this place. Besides buying you dinner is the least I could do for you showing me this place?" I was tempted to say no, but he was being really nice so I thought why not. " Okay, I need to speak with the owner when we get in here first" I said as he nodded and kept ahold of my hand. We walked in together , hand in hand and his big hand against my small one fit perfectly. He was a bit taller than my 5'7, he had to be at least 6'3. I let go of his hand as we sat down at a bar top table. Ginger, a tall redhead came up to our table. " Hey Kelly, who is this handsome man?" She nudged me in the shoulder, " just a friend, Glynn meet the owner's wife Ginger" as they shook hands. " Where is Mac?" I asked her. " In the back, getting more alcohol " " Okay thanks, I want my usual" I said to her as I went back to the storage area. " Hey Mac you in there?" I yelled out as a big burly guy Mac came out. He used to be a professional wrestler but gave it up after he hurt his back. He was about 6 foot and all muscles with sleeves of tattoos. " Hey Kel, how's it going?" " could be better, do you still need an extra bartender?" I asked. " Hell yeah I do, it's actually Aaron's last week. He is going back to college to get his Master's in art or some crap. So yeah I definitely need you, what happened with you doing college?" " I can't, I left my dad's and need the money more" I said sadly. " Hey you know you can always stay with Ginger and I....your mom would want that" " I know you were always like her older brother in school, I appreciate it" I said as he gave me a hug. " You can start tomorrow night, Saturdays always our big night" he said as he lifted up two cases of beer to the front. " Thanks Mac" I said as I walked back over to the bar top where Glynn was eyeing me as I walked back .
