Lucius's POV
I walked into my home, feeling calm after a few drinks with Edwin. I saw Zara sleeping on the couch. She looked peaceful.
I felt a mix of emotions - love, anger, and hurt. I went to the room to get a blanket. I came back and covered her with it. She stirred a little but didn't wake up.
I watched her sleep for a moment. I felt like I didn't know her. But she's my wife, the woman I love.
I left her sleeping and went to my study. I poured myself a glass of whiskey and sat down. I took a sip, feeling the burn.
I sat there, thinking about my marriage. It feels like it's slipping away from me. I don't know how to stop it.
After a while, I got up, finished my drink, and left the house. Zara was still sleeping on the couch.
