The Last One

Not cool

    I was sweating. I was going to take a shower but he said ten minutes and I have to meet him at the border. s**t! This is happening and is not cool. I think I’m gonna throw up any moment now. Suddenly I felt a chill down my spine. I was already outside the packhouse and I could hear everything but something wasn’t right. There was too much silence. 

    Then I felt the pain. 

    Dad!

   I shifted and ran through the woods. Looking for him, he wasn’t in the packhouse but why can’t I feel the enemy?! There’s no smell or trace of it! 

    ”Connor!”, I barked through mindlink.

    ”The f**k is wrong with you? You scared the hell out of me!”, he replied.

    ”Dad’s in danger! And I can’t smell the enemy!”, I panicked.

    ”s**t!”, he immediatly started giving orders to the pack through mindlink. 

    I knew I was close but when I got there what I saw got me breathless. Pack members were attacking him. 

    ”Lilah! Leave!”, he shouted through mindlink.

    ”Never!”, I barked.

    I started taking them one by one but dad was surrounded by them. Getting close to him was hard. Then I heard the gun and my body colapsed. 

    The last thing I heard through mindlink was ”I love you, Lilah”. Then everything was dark. I knew the bullet didn’t hit me. That shot was for my dad and it felt like it was for me. The pain wouldn’t stop and then I realized, he was dying and the bond was breaking. The pain was unbearable, I couldn’t take it. It was as if they were taking my own life. My throat hurted but that pain couldn’t be compared with the loss. 

    ”This can’t be happening!”, was the only thing I could think of. Then everything went dark. 

Connor’s POV

   I was looking for Lilah and dad, but in my way there, I heard a loud cry. It was Lilah’s. That made me run faster. Lilah is a good warrior and Luna, if something is harming her it must be really strong. Suddenly my body colapsed like eveyone else. I had this sickening pain within me that I could barely move. What the hell was going on? Then it hitted me, our Alpha has fallen. 

    ”I’ll kill them all”, said Thomas, my wolf.

    I ran as fast as I could and Lilah was nowhere to be found. The traitors sneered at me and I started to kill them one by one. 

    ”Gary! Find our Luna!”, I said through mindlink.

    ”I’m on it”, was his fast reply.

    I saw Gary running to the border and prayed to the Goddess. I couldn’t lose both of them in one day. 

Axel’s POV 

    I was getting close to the border when I saw Lilah been drag into a van. Then I saw Gary attacking them and that was it. I ran as fast as I could. One of them pointed a gun towards Gary and shot him. That made me become more anxious. I wasn’t close to them and it was driving me crazy. Gary wasn’t moving anymore and they turned on the van. They were heading into my direction which was best for me. 

    When they were going to pass me, I jumped in the van’s roof. It was hard to keep myself there. I burried my claws in the roof. Returning to my human form but with my claws still out, I manage to break one of the back doors of the van to get in. Her scent was all over the van and that gave me the strenght to somehow get in. I saw three guys and took one of them by his arm and sent him flying on the road. Lilah saw me with red eyes and tears all over her, but she could barely show me a small smile. 

    ”Ax...el”, she managed to say and that broke me.

    She looked so helpless that my wolf took control. I shifted to take the other two and when I took one of them the other had a shotgun and shot me in my chest. That sent me back to the road but I couldn’t move. 

    ”Axel!”, I heard her scream. 

    I was so desperate that I didn’t even realized that my pack was under attack too. My Beta was trying to mindlink me but it was useless. I had silver in all my chest and the fall broke me two or more bones. Who knows how but I got on my feet and started walking behind the van. Even if the van was no longer there. I was already close to my border and, even if I most save Lilah, I have a pack. I saw a rogue trying to get in and the anger that I had because I couldn’t protect my own mate got the worst of me. I killed the rogue with my bare hands and I still have no idea how. The rogue hurted me at least and that was it for me. The silver was getting me dizzy and I fell to the ground. 

    The pain that I was experiencing was nothing compared to lossing my mate in front of me. The cold wind hitted me and everything went dark.
