The Last One

Thunders

    "Thunders", was the first thing I said since I got there. 

    He looked amazed like he thought I couldn't speak or something. He blinked a lot like trying to figure out what the hell I was saying.

    "Are you afraid of thunders?", he asked not so sure of the question by his tone.

    I shook my head and continued to introduce myself.

    "My name is Lilah. Lilah Thunders", I said and his body went stiff as if I told him something bad. I didn't know why he all of a sudden went a bit cold. 

    "Who else knows you?", he asked taking the ball of paper that was on the nightstand. 

    I got a bit nervous at his question. I didn't know what to say, he's the only person to interact with me in a long time. In the end, I just shrugged my shoulders cuz I didn't have a proper answer. Actually I don't have any relatives, I know no one but Eden and Rylee. 

    I watched him read the paper with a frown on his once angelic face. Once he finished reading the document he put it in his pocket. I watched him carefully, my heart rate was going overdrive and my wolves were impatient. Then, with a stern look, he said, "You are no longer Lilah Thunders. You are now my daughter and you will live under my last name. Understand?".

    I nodded rapidly. I didn't know what was wrong with my last name but I didn't question either.

    "I, Leo Walker, Alpha of the Moon Chasers will take you as my daughter", he said looking me straight to the eyes. 

    "I, Lilah Thunders, accept to be your daughter and change my last name to Walker", I replied and I felt something different. I could feel his heartbeats like mine. It felt strange at the beginning due to the new feeling but I got used to it really fast. 

    "We have a new bond", my wolf said. "It's not as powerful as a mate bond but we will feel what he feels", Rylee continued. "This bond is powerful enough to have our own mindlink with him. Just as the mate bond", said Eden this time, my other wolf.

    "Don't tell anyone about your last name, got it?", he said and I nodded. Leo gave me a small smile after that and got up. "I'll be right back. Don't wait for me, ok?", he said and left me alone in the dark. 

    I started to feel cold again but I shook the feeling away. I was tired and in the instant I closed my eyes, I fell asleep. 

    It was dark and someone was dragging me all the way. His heartbeats were fast and I could feel his anxiety.

    "Lilah, honey, listen to me. Don't ever look back, ok? Take this with you", he said as he landed a paper in my hand. 

    "But I want to stay", I cried. 

    "I also want you to stay but you have to escape. You're not safe here.", he said caressing my cheek. 

    "But daddy-", he cut me off.

    "Lilah, listen to me. I need you to run as fast as you can and don't make contact with anyone. I need you to find a safe cave in the forest and mindlink me so I can banish you, ok? Will you do that for daddy?", he asked. 

    "Yes", I replied sobbing. 

    Dad hugged me tight and whispered, "I love you". He pulls out our embrace and wipes my tears away. 

    "Don't forget who you are", he said as he placed my collar bell in my neck. I was sobbing like the kid that I am. 

    "Run!"

    I gasped for air as I woke up alone in bed. I was sweating, trembling and even crying. I hugged my knees and started to sob. The door slammed open but I didn't look who it was. I just knew it was Alpha Leo. He was worried, I could tell by our bond. 

    Leo started to look for any injury to make sure no one hurt me. When he realized it was just a nightmare he hugged me tightly. I cried in his chest but eventually, his scent calmed me and I fell asleep again in his big arms. 

    In the morning, Leo was nowhere to be found. I knew he was close but I still was a bit sad that he wasn't with me. I started to think that it was the bond between us that was making me feel that way. I got out of bed and found in the bathroom a new toothbrush and a note.

    "Wash your teeth with the pink toothbrush and go downstairs for breakfast", was written in the note. 

    I brushed my teeth and went downstairs still wearing my pajamas. I sniffed eggs, bacon, and pancakes and my stomach started growling. I got to the kitchen and saw a beautiful brown-haired woman doing breakfast. My mouth watered at the smell and I placed myself in one of the chairs near the counter. She turned around and gave me a 'Good morning' smile. I smiled back. I looked at the clock and it was ten o'clock. No wonder why Leo wasn't with me, he has a lot of work I can't just expect him to be always with me but he was the only one I knew in the pack. 

    "Here you go, honey", said the brown haired woman putting a plate of breakfast in front of me. 

    "T-Thank you", I manage to say.

    She gave me a bright smile and turned around keeping herself busy. Then a guy almost as tall as Alpha Leo sat beside me.

    "Good morning, Eliza", he said looking at the Pancakes woman. 

    "Good morning, Kyle", she replied without looking at him. 

    So Pancakes woman's name was Eliza. 

    "How was the night patrol?", she asked handing a cup of coffee to him.

    "Exhausting!", he replied before sipping at his coffee. "After the young girl came to the territory, a lot of rouges took the opportunity and tried to enter the territory. Luckily the Alpha was with us but when we finished with a great amount of rouges, he ran back to the pack house and left us the rest of the rouges. I kicked those rouges ass all the damn night. I feel like dying", he finally said and finished his cup of coffee.

    Eliza gave me some orange juice and Kyle for the first time looked at me like I was out of place. He started sniffing the air around me and finally spoke.

    "Who are you?"
