The Last One

The Last One

    Gary took off his clothes and shifted. I saw how he disappeared in the woods. It was getting dark and I had a bad feeling about it. I was supposed to play with them and then go with Gary to today's party at Axel's house. He wasn't the official Alpha of his pack yet but he invited almost all my pack and I knew Connor will be there too. I mean he's a player he would obviously go. 

    I counted to ten and made my way to the woods. Undress myself and put my clothes near a tree to shift was the first thing. The pups last time were sad because I didn't shift so I'm just shifting because of them. They are always talking about my white fur and big tall wolf so I'm letting Rylee take the spotlight. Nobody has seen Eden except dad, he's the only person who knows I have two wolves. I started sniffing and I knew they were close. Rylee got excited and I let her take control. She hasn't been in control for a while and all she wanted was play with the pups. 

    It wasn't hard finding almost all of them. Rylee was fast but not too fast for them to feel bad. She wanted them to feel like they have improved and I wanted the same so we acted a little dumb. I even found Gary and when I started counting the pups I realized I haven't found Max. He's the smallest of the pups and he's always trying to prove that he can be a valuable wolf. 

    "Gary, stay with the pups. I need to find Max and I can tell he's not close", I tell Gary through mindlink. He nods as response. 

    I sniff the air looking for his scent. Once I got his scent I was on my way. I was almost at the border when I heard his breathing. He was hiding in an empty trunk and only my muzzle could barely barge in, maybe just the tip of my nose. The trunk was almost his shape and my wolf is way too big for that trunk. I heard him giggle in the mindlink. He got out of the trunk and licked my muzzle. Max was an omega and his parents died due to the war between the Dark Moon Pack and the Moon Chasers Pack. As I remember they fought well. Max was born when I got here and since then I've been like his shadow. I remember telling dad that I wanted to make a bond with him but he refused because it will be too much for me to bear. 

    "Am I the first one?", he asked shyly. 

    "You are the last one, pup", I tell him and he immediately starts waving his tail and jumping all the way back to the house pack. It is dark enough for me to notice the night patrol should be in their shift now but I smell no wolf from the pack. I stop in my trails when the blood enters my nostrils, quite fresh I may add. 

    "Max, run to the pack house. Now!", I almost shouted. He stood frozen for a second and then ran as fast as his paws would take him. 

    I turned around looking for the dead body. I could smell some wolves, none of them were from my pack. I hid my scent and walked carefully so none of them could hear me. My heart rate was really calmed and I needed to stay that way. When I got to the border I saw them. They were still ripping the dead body of a warrior, they weren't rogues. I couldn't smell their bloodthirst and that was a bad sign for starters. They were trying to do a mess as a normal rogue would do. I stepped out and a loud growl escaped from me. Rylee, Eden and I wanted to rip them into pieces. They whimpered and I knew they were mere werewolves.

    "No ranking, no fun", sighed Eden and I let her take control. We became bigger and my fur turned black. I could smell some of them pissed in their spot as I snarled at them. Then it became Eden's time to shine. She ripped every single one of them to their very existence. It was a disaster when she was finished. My fur was covered in blood, not mine of course but I didn't care. I noticed I had no prisoner to interrogate later and cursed under my breath. My fur turned white again and waited till the night patrol arrived. They saw all the mess and I could tell some of them were about to puke their lunch. 

    "Clean the mess and stay vigilant. I don't want another pack trying to cross the borders. Understood?", I snarled and after a whimper, they all bowed their heads and replied, "Yes, Luna"

    I turned and walked to the pack house only to be seen like a ghost. All the pups surrounded me with worry in their little puppy eyes. The mindlink became annoying at some point.

    "Lilah, are you ok? How many of them you defeated? Were they rogues?", all of them asked jumping around me. I almost have a headache when dad stepped out of the pack house and shut them. 

    "Lilah", he spoke with his Alpha voice and I knew he wanted me to go inside. Still in my wolf form, I approached him and let his scent overwhelm me. I wasn't angry anymore, even if Eden wanted to continue her show with their bodies. His scent was making me feel better by the second. He offered me a blanket and I shift back to my human form. The blanket was slowly turning red by all the blood. Gary stood there with the pups and told them we were not playing again. Dad led me to the pack house with his arm on my shoulder. 

    "Go take a bath. We'll talk about it in my office", he told me before I could utter a word. I nodded and leaving a path of blood in my way, I got upstairs and took a bath. I let the warm water run and saw the blood in the tub, it was almost disturbing the amount of blood I had all over me.
