Red eyes

Feeling the wind rush past her fur was an amazing feeling. The ongoing battle of not knowing what was going on with her body, mind, and soul didn't matter at all at this point.

The trees were passing her in a blur as she ran with all her might not caring about what would happen.

She felt free she felt happy and she felt alive.

She ran even faster. Eventually, she passed her uncle and pushed harder forgetting all her worries.

"Kiddo slow down, You'll fly away running that fast" Her uncle chuckled through the link

"You are just slow old man keep up"

Alisha was having so much fun running in her wolf, Her father never ran with her as much now, She knew he was always busy but they had not run together in months.

Alisha slowed down as they came up to a river.

She drank from the river and lay down waiting for her uncle.

The moon was high shining down on Aliisha she loved the feeling of the moon on her fur she felt invisible like nothing could hurt her in any way.

A little while later she noticed her uncle still hadn't caught up to her, she stood to look around for him but saw nothing.

She couldn't have run that fast that he lost her, could she? Did she?

She had a feeling that she was being watched she looked around and still couldn't see anything.

A cold shiver went down her spine, she turned around again trying to find where that feeling was coming from.

In the distance across the river, she noticed a pair of red eyes watching her.

A little scared of the eyes she called for her uncle in the link.

"Uncle Nicco?"

The worried sound in her voice was noticeable, her eyes never left the red eyes watching her.

She started to shake feeling very uncomfortable. The red eyes were slowly approaching the river as Alisha slowly backed up without turning away from those red eyes.

"UNCLE NICCO!!"

She screamed down the Link using all her power to call for him.

Now she was terrified, she knew if she turned around to run those red eyes would catch her.

Drake and Kayleen were cleaning up the BBQ as Nicliah and Alisha went on their run. Kayleen couldn't stop thinking about Alisha and the possibility that she was his mate. He smiled at the idea he would wait for her if that was the case. He had just turned 18 a week before coming with her uncle to this pack. He just wanted to see why his boss was always talking highly of her.

Nicliah found Kayleen in a ruff situation when he was 16, he was running with a bad crowd at that time making bad decisions, one night he made a mistake a bad decision the group he was running with hit one of the storage warehouses that Nicliah was at, and took him head-on.

Nicliah had seen his strength and had seen his niece in Kayleen. Lost, angry, and with no direction.

After fighting each other Nicliah beat him of course he gave Kayleen a chance to become stronger and in the right way.

He took Kayleen in and helped him, fed him clothed him put a roof over his head, and trained him.

While Kayleen was in his world a sudden cold chill hit his bones he turned around to look at Drake who must have felt the same thing because Drake's head was up in the air eyes glowing brightly as he searched. But he couldn't find anything, and then as if something was wrong we heard and felt a power hit our link.

"UNCLE NICCO!"

It was Alisha she sounded scared her worried voice shocked both boys.

Without thinking Kayleen shot off in the direction where he could feel Alisha's power the fear he was feeling made him run at full speed.

He looked back and noticed Drake was hot on his tail.

Without talking to each other Drake flicked his head and eyes up and Kayleen nodded in agreement.

Drake jumped high and continued running in the trees along the branches, while Kayleen ran on the ground.

Drake could scan for her exact location while up high.

They were running for a long time.

Until Drake saw a big black wolf, Nicliah he was surrounded by 3 vampires with Alisha right behind him watching his back as she had 2 vampires closing in on her.

"Kayleen up a head, Vamps, 3 on Nicliah, 2 on Alisha, go to Alsiha"

Kayleen's eyes turned dark green and the red in his eyes glowed he ran like his life depended on it.

The red eyes multiplied as Alisha was backing up, one turned into two then into seven.

As she backed away without turning around a vampire jumped the river and ran full speed towards her.

Before it could get any closer Nicliah linked Alisah.

"Duck kiddo" She put her front paws out and bowed her head as Nickiah jumped over Alisha taking the vampire's head into his mouth and tearing it clean off spiting it to the ground.

Blood oozed from his mouth.

"Uncle Nicco" Alisha was scared, but glad he had arrived just in time.

Nicliah growled to the rest in warning not to come any closer.

Another three Vampires jumped the river as two disappeared from their sight, there was only one vampire that stood and watched.

"Eyes open kiddo, watch my back"

Alisah turned around looking for the other two vampires as they came into view, she growled warning them not to come closer.

One attacked her going for her neck, she jumped out of the way to avoid him, turned her head opened her mouth, and took his head letting it roll to the ground.

The other was right next to her about to bite into her white fur when a hissing sound was heard out of nowhere and a blur rushed toward Alisha and stopped between her and the vampire.

Blood splattered across her white fur.

The vampire's head and arms fell to her feet, Alsiha looked up from the rolling head to see Kayleen Standing with his arm out covered in blood.

Kayleen turned to Alisha in her wolf form and checked with his dark green red-rimmed eyes to making sure she wasn't hurt.

Nicliah had taken another head off a vampire as the other two tried to attack him at once when another hissing sound was heard, a blur came from above taking both vampire heads with it as it smashed into the ground.

Alisha turned to her uncle and then looked across the river to see one pair of red eyes still watching her.

A loud hiss was heard from beside her, and before she could turn to look at Kayleen he was gone like the wind, the water in the river separated from out of thin air.

She looked up at where the red eyes were before and Kayleen had the vampire by the neck hissing loudly in his face. "Mine" Kayleen hissed again.

Before she could react to what had happened Kayleen's hand squeezed the vampire's neck disconnecting its head from its body as blood sprayed him and kicking the body as he dropped the head to the ground.

Alisha was in shock, she couldn't register what had happened.

Nicliah in his big black wolf walked over to Aliasha nudging her head with his making sure she was ok. She was still in shock.

Kayleen had taken off his blood-drenched hoody and threw it to the ground, then took off his T-shirt walked over to Alisha, and handed it to her so she could shift.

Lucky for Nicliah Drake had a pair of shorts on under his pants that he took off and gave to him.

Kayleen stood on the other side of the tree while Alisha shifted back, she came out wearing his T-shirt still in shock.

"Are you ok beautiful?" Kayleen was so worried about her after hearing her calls for Nichliah.

She nodded her head slowly and still shaking and Kayleen grabbed her hugging her.

"I was so scared" It was Kayleen who spoke surprising her.

"Kayleen" A sob left her mouth as she hugged him back

"Thank you"

She let him go running for her uncle and hugging him tightly as she started crying.

"Don't run this far again kiddo"
