IVF

"Ivy, you're not drunk, are you? What do you mean by using a surrogate mother?" Quinn cheekily replied, "Surrogacy is legal in our country, sir. So you and Madame insert the embryo into the woman's uterus. The procedure is very similar to IVF, and fertilization occurred outside. It's just-" Sean raised his head. "Stop! Who asked you to chime in and answer my question?!" Sean growled. "S-sorry, sir!" Quinn reflexively covered her mouth using both palms. Ivy glanced at Quinn, and unexpectedly, she blurted out, "what's your name?" "Me?" replied Quinn as she pointed at herself. "Yes, you! Who else!" "My name is Quinn, ma'am." "How old are you?" "Twenty-two years old," Quinn replied grimly. "Get down from there because I want to talk to you," Ivy ordered. Quinn climbed down from the ladder and quickly walked over to Ivy, who was now standing, in front of Sean's desk. "Are you married?" Ivy asked. Quinn shook her head slowly. "Good," Ivy said, glancing at Sean, who didn't understand his wife's train of thought. "You seem very healthy and young," Ivy hissed. "So I'm going to make a deal with you.." Ivy said as she looked Quinn up and down. "Ivy, don't be insane. What kind of deal are you going to make with that girl!" Snapped Sean, knowing how much his wife liked to take advantage of others. Quinn furrowed her brow, "What's the deal, ma'am?" "But first, I must ensure that you are physically and mentally healthy. I don't want my future child to be conceived by a sickly and insane woman," she hissed and sat down while staring intently at Quinn's face. "Do you have an internal disease? An infectious disease? Or maybe a congenital disease from childhood?" Quinn shook her head softly, "I'm perfectly healthy, ma'am. I'm registered with the Red Cross as a regular blood donor. In there, my health is checked regularly for free," Quinn explained. "Then you fit my criteria," Ivy continued. "Ivy, what are you doing? What's this all about?" screeched Sean. "Honey, you want to have kids, right?" Ivy turned to Sean, who looked vigorous. "Take it easy. I won't use your money to pay this girl," Ivy said. "Quinn, do you want to be a surrogate mother?" Ivy asked bluntly. Quinn didn't answer instantly, and the girl looked like to presume, her eyes flashing back and forth as she thought back to something. "Ivy!" Sean yelled out loud. "How much do you want to pay me?" Quinn said quickly, and unexpectedly the innocent girl seemed to accept Ivy's offer without thinking much further. Ivy stood up and smiled with satisfaction, "so you want to?" "Surrogate mothers usually get paid $100,000 to $200,000 just for rent. You also have to guarantee my life and the life of the child I will be carrying. You have to take out insurance for all the risks I may bear during pregnancy and childbirth." Ivy was stunned by the words that passed Quinn's lips. How could a girl like her know the ins and outs of surrogacy? "Oh yeah, ma'am and sir, you must also sign a consent form on a stamp to avoid any losses that either party may cause," Quinn continued with a big smile "What the hell?!" Sean squealed. "Who the hell are you?! How do you know so much about it? What is your purpose, working for my company?!” Sean was questionable of the girl. "Don't get me wrong, sir. One of my friends at the orphanage became a surrogate mother for a wealthy family. As a result of being a surrogate mother, she can now live a comfortable rich life, although she said that her c- section was harrowing." Ivy clapped her hands, "Sean, it looks like we found the right person." "What? Did I say I agreed with your crazy idea?!" Sean scolded his wife. "So you'd rather get a divorce from me than use a surrogate?" screeched Ivy. Not to be surpassed, even if she had only apologized to her husband a few minutes before. "That's not what I meant, Ivy," Sean replied. "You heard it yourself, didn't you? Do you forget how your mom threatened me?" Sean was speechless. Of course, he didn't want to divorce his wife. Though they fought often, Sean still loved Ivy very much. "So what, do you think mom will agree to this?" "We have to get her to agree," Ivy said lightly. Sean scratched his head. He had a real headache when facing a problem involving his wife and mother. Quinn was still standing there, her head turned to the right and left to observe the argument between the two people in front of her. "Quinn, give me your phone number. I'll contact you later." Ivy said. Ivy gave Quinn a piece of paper and asked the girl to write her phone number. "Here, ma'am," she said happily. "Get out of my room, now!" Sean ordered. "But sir, I haven't finished my work-" "Finish it later! Get out now because I want to discuss something important with my wife. Do you understand?" Sean added with emphasis, and there was anger in the man's eyes. Quinn quickly excused herself and left the room. *** Quinn was exhausted from working all day, and she was trying to sleep. But suddenly her phone rang. Liza, her foster mom, was calling. "Quinn, when are you going to send us the money?!" Her foster mother began babbling before she had a chance to greet her. "I've only been working one day, and you're already asking when I'm sending money, Mom. Are you going senile?" she replied her. "You can owe your boss! Esme has already collected the rent. If you don't send the money soon, she'll kick me out on the street!" Liza shouted angrily. "But mom-" "I don't want to know, and you have to send me two thousand dollars soon!" Beep! Liza hung up the phone rudely. "Oh my God, how is this! I can feel this is going to happen to me! That crazy woman will squeeze me dry!" she complained while rubbed forehead.
