My Alpha's love

Vincent  Alpha Vincent is in his office trying to finish up some work before he head upstairs to his mate Amara. He knows he is going to pay dearly for being late. Amara always keep reminding him that he should pace his duties and learn to delegate and he totally agree on that, but for the last few days he has been working late into the night so that he can finish up as much work as he could before the baby's arrival.  At the thought of his mate being pregnant brought smile to his strength face. He can't thank enough the moon goddess for blessing him with Amara as his mate. He can't remember his life before her.  Amara is not only the perfect mate she is also the perfect luna to their pack. Her love, kindness and devotion to their pack members has won all of their hearts.  He could still remember the day he met her like it was yesterday. it was 4 years ago, He was meeting a client at a restaurant in the Lake city. He immediately noticed the change in the air he could smell the sweetest scent he had ever smelled in his life. He looked for the source and saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life before walking towards a table across from where he was seated. He couldn't take his eyes off her.  She stopped in mid stride and lifted her head to look around the restaurant. Her eyes collided with him and he could hear her gasp as she figured out the situation. Her friend bumped into her and asked her what is the matter. She uttered the one word I waited to hear in my entire life "Mate". I stood abruptly and crossed the room to reach her and stoped in-front of her. Her beautiful eyes rounded apprehension clear on her face, I couldn't stop my self any longer and cupped her face in my hands and said "mine" she visibly relaxed and a shy smile appeared on her face. I pulled her closer and  kissed her passionately. My business meeting just became my first date with my mate.  We talked for hours and spent the evening to getting to know each other. She told me her parents died in a car accident and she came to Lake city for collage. I asked her to marry me immediately and she said yes. I talked to her alpha who was good  ally of mine and informed him that she will be moving to my pack. He was happy for both of us and told he would see to it that  Amara's personal belongings are transferred to my pack soon.  After waiting for a long time, I finally found my mate. I wanted to mark her immediately but we have customs and traditions to respect. I dug out my phone from my pocket and called my parents to tell the good news. As expected they were elated that finally I found my mate, my mother promised me that everything will be perfect before I bring her home tomorrow and she is starting the preparations for my meetings ceremony immediately. Next day I brought her to the pack to introduce her to my parents and my pack members and and everyone took liking to her immediately. My mother planned a beautiful ceremony for us,  a week after Amara's arrival we marked each other in front of all of our pack members and elders and few guests from neighboring packs. Since then I felt complete, I felt the gaping hole in my heart has been filled and here we are expecting our first child.  "What are still doing here son? Aren't you supposed to be in your room helping your mate". I hear my father for the door to my office.  "I'm almost done dad, I just want to finish up these contracts before I head upstairs".  He shakes his head "This is the time you should spend with your mate, once the pup is born you won't have any time alone for the two of you. Listen to me Vincent, your beta is more than capable to handle all this work. Go, be with your mate and prepare for the baby's arrival. By the looks of it your pup will be here sooner than you think."  "I agree dad and I will make sure all my time is dedicated to Amara from now on."  "Good, I'll see you tomorrow." He nods and head to the elevator to reach 3rd floor where his and my mother's private rooms are located. I quickly send an email to David my beta with the instructions how to handle pack business and few pending contract that needed my attention. I also communicate that I will be taking some personal time to be with my mate until few weeks after the baby is born. I hit send and shut down my laptop and make sure everything is secure and head to the elevators to reach my private rooms. As soon as I walk into the room I see Amara sleeping on the bed. Since she is in her last weeks off for a pregnancy she barely gets any sleep. So I decided not to wake her up and head to the bathroom to take a quick shower and get some much-needed sleep. After I'm done with my shower I get into the bed and pull Amara into my arms. She snuggles deeper into me, for a second I was worry that she will wake up. She has been struggling with the sleep for the last few weeks. I have never realized how hard it is to be a pregnant woman. Unfortunately for her it was a rough ride butAmara never complained once, she enjoyed every high and low.  I look at my sleeping mate and thank the moon goddess at least she is able to rest for a bit and I follow her soon after a few seconds.
