Chapter 3

936 Words
I was again sitting in the empty classroom, trying to distract myself with the notes, that I took yesterday, sprawled all over my desk. But nowadays distraction doesn't come easy to me. My mind kept replaying the scene with the wolf. Even though I knew it was just a dream, it felt so real that I couldn't get it out of my mind. His eyes, the vibration I felt when I touched him, the cold room, everything felt so real. It didn't felt like a dream, but a memory. A knock at my desk brought me out of my thoughts. Jay stood there smiling at me. God, why is his smile so intoxicating? " hey ", He said casually. " hey " I replied to him with a smile. He sat down on his seat right next to me and got comfortable. " Do you always come to class this early? " Hes asked. I looked around the classroom and indeed it was empty. " Yes, it's time to revise notes. " The same excuse I give everyone. On my statement he gave me a soft smile. He looked at me like he could see right through me, like he know I only came early so I could leave before my parents wake up. I shook that thought out of my mind. No! There is no way he knows anything. I noticed he was still looking at me. And to not make it awkward I continued the conversation. " But it's not just me who comes to university this early, because as we can see, you are also here. " He laughed throwing his head back a little, a habit I noticed, " True, but the first day I came this early was so I could figure out the classes, and today... " He stopped for a while. " and today? " I asked. He looked into my eyes, " And today, I came for you, " Me? God! this man is not helping with my crush. " you're blushing. " He said pointing to my face that was probably red by now. He was smiling and I could feel myself getting hotter. " You're so cute ". My eyes widened at that and the next words just spilled out of my mouth like it was against me. " Jay you're not helping with my crush! " And now it was over for me. Hearing this first his eyes widened a little and then he laughed throwing his head back. " You are too cute! " " Yeah, yeah " I was even more embarrassed now, if that was even possible. " You know, if you have a crush on me and I think You're cute, why don't we go for a coffee sometime? " I blushed at his suggestion again. "Yeah, I would like that." He smiled nodding. After a while he took out his notes and started studying too. Ten minutes of studying passed by and my mind was once again occupied by the thoughts of the wolf. Why I felt like I missed him. My feelings were making me more confused. I mean it was just a dream, and it's not like he will return. " Hello! Earth to Noor. " Jay was waving his hands in front of my face. I snapped back to reality and he laughed. " What's going on? " He asked. It always felt like he could read me. I gave a little awkward laugh. " Nothing... it's just... " I contemplated a little on whether I should tell him about the dream or no. " Just? " He asked. Screw this, I'm gonna tell him. " It's just a weird dream I had last night that doesn't seem to leave my mind " He gave me a weird look. " A dream huh? " " Yeah.... " He seemed to think for a while before he asked. " Well Noor, if you don't mind me asking, What was the dream about? " I gave him a questionable look. " I mean my mom had a book about meanings of our dreams, that she made me read too whenever I had a weird dream, So I thought I could help maybe " " Really? " I asked. I mean if I could get an inside on that dream, I would. And maybe his thoughts on this could help me. So I told him everything that I saw in my dream. He kept listening. His expression were so mixed up that I couldn't figure out, what exactly was he thinking. When I finished he looked down and sighed loudly, then looked back up at Me. He smiled his special smile at me that seems to be reserved just for me, and said. " Well, white wolves usually represent a new beginning. So maybe something is going to change in your life. Something new is coming your way " " For the good right? " I asked. He chuckled a bit. " Yeah hopefully for the good. " He answered. " I mean if you consider getting a new boyfriend a good change then maybe. " At that I laughed " You have really high hopes for the coffee date. " He shrugged, " Well, a guy could dream, right? " I smiled, " He could but let's just take one step at a time. " He smiled again, the same soft smile he always give me, like he's reliving a memory. Soon our friends arrived and he was back to being his usual mysterious or maybe even shy self.
