CHAPTER TWO

Darcy and Isaac stood by the grand waterfall fountain, Rina Cheong walks out of the elevator with her son Kaleb Cheong. Isaac turns to Darcy "Are you two ready for the exam?" Rina asked with a warming smile Darcy gives her a small smile and nodded "Of course." Darcy said Isaac slips on the maroon blazer fixing the grey tie, Darcy found the uniform cute on the hand her brother found it out of fashion and out of his taste. The uniform was like every other South Korean school uniform, maroon blazers, a white-collar blouse for women, a white-collar dress shirt for men, grey skirts, grey dress pants, and a black-tie along with a name tag on the left side of their clothing.

Darcy fiddled with her skirt as the car ride was indeed a bit awkward for her since Isaac wasn't speaking nor was Kaleb, son. Rina looks up from her iPad and gazes over at Darcy with a smile "I've heard twins are very close unlike any other siblings is it true?" Rina asked putting the iPad away in her beige bag, Isaac turns to look at her with an unreadable expression. Darcy smiles "I think it's just me and Isaac that are close, I haven't seen any other twins close as we are." Darcy said she had stopped feeling anxious, Rina smiles "My sister and I were close just the way you and your brother are." Rina said a hint of sadness in her voice made Isaac feel soft and felt this strange connection with Rina.

Darcy's smile faded into a sad smile "Did something happened to her?" She asked Rina forces a smile on her face, "Let's just say accidents tend to happen at bad times." Rina said as the car came to a halt. They had arrived at Cheong Arts and Music Academy, Rina sends Kaleb off to his classes. "Let's get you two to the exam room," Rina said grabbing the twins by their forearms gently.

They walk upstairs leading them into a hallway with lockers on each side of the halls, they got to a blue door with the words Exam in black bold letters. Rina softly knocks on the door before entering the room, "Mrs. Cheong...what a pleasant surprise. May I have the honor to ask what brings you here?" A woman with blonde shoulder-length hair asked Rina smiles "Mrs. Hardin, I have two students who will be taking the entrance exam." Rina said letting Darcy and Isaac step inside the room "Darcy and Isaac Hardin Carson." Rina said Angelique Hart Hardin known as the other woman by the twins felt her blood go cold as her eyes landed on the Carson twins they indeed resemble a young version of their parents Darcy had the resemblance of her mother by her eyes and hair while Isaac had the resemblance of his father's eyes, hair, and facial features.

Angelique forces a smile and clears her throat, "You two may have a seat anywhere you like, I'll be passing out the exams soon." Angelique said her voice was filled with nerves, Rina gives her a warm smile before leaving. Darcy and Isaac took small glances at each other, Angelique passes the exams to each student. Isaac looks down at the exam Cheong Arts and Music Entrance Exam, Darcy lets out a small sigh before opening her pencil bag and gets out an eraser and pencil. Isaac looks up at the clock sitting on the wall, Angelique walks upfront of the class and turns to the students. "You may now begin," Angelique said setting a twenty-minute timer.

The twins began to take the exam, it was a mix of two languages English and Korean, which twins found easy to understand. Angelique sat down and began to grade exams from last night, Darcy was halfway down with her exam along with Issac. It wasn't a surprise to their parents, the twins were very smart it wouldn't be a problem for the twins not getting accepted to Cheong Arts and Music Academy.

Before the twenty minutes were up the twins turned in their exams, Angelique looks at the time then at the twins "Done already?" Angelique asked taking the exams from them "It wasn't hard." Isaac said his tone filled with annoyance, Darcy gives her a warm smile before following Isaac out of class. Angelique began to go over their exams, mesmerized by their intelligence and neat work made her stand up to her feet and walk out of the exam room, her feet fled her towards the chairman's office.

Eugene Cheong sat behind his desk going over paperwork, Angelique knocks before walking in "Chairman Cheong." Angelique said as she stood in front of his desk, Eugene looks up at her with a confused and concerned expression "What seems to be the problem, Mrs. Hardin?" Eugene asked placing his pen down, Angelique hands him the Carson twins exams "I have never seen any students like them...this is extraordinary. These twins are filled intelligence and they show their work in a neatly organized manner." Angelique said Eugene looks over both exams, by the look on his face, he too was filled with such surprise. 

Not only did the twins wrote down their work neatly but managed to get two out of twenty-five questions correctly, Darcy got one wrong out of twenty-five questions while Isaac got two out of twenty-five questions. At that moment Eugene knew that the twins were special and indeed were going to be accepted as honor students by the school board. 

Isaac and Darcy were sitting with Rina outside of school, "I'm sure you two are going to get accepted." Rina said with a warm smile as she comforts the twins. Angelique walks out of the school, she turns to see that the twins haven't left yet "Isaac and Darcy Carson...you guys have been officially accepted to attend Cheong's Arts and Music Academy." Angelique said almost out of breath, Darcy looks at Isaac with a surprised smile "We...I can't believe it." Darcy said as Isaac pulls her into a hug "See you didn't have to worry about it too much." Isaac said with a smile. Rina watches them with a big grin as the twins reminded her of her sister Anna, her sister was in a bad accident that caused her to slipped into a coma. 

Isaac and Darcy were given a tour of the school, "School starts at eight-thirty am, but I hope you two can be here before that. That's pretty much it, do you two have your class schedule?" Angelique asked as she turns to face them Darcy shows her the schedule "It's the same classroom but different teachers...how does that work?" Issac asked looking at the schedule as if it's something from another dimension. Angelique smiles at them "No one goes to class to class instead the teachers go to class to class. You guys have math first period so when that class is over your Korean teacher comes in...do you understand what I'm trying to say?" Angelique asked Isaac was lost but Darcy understood exactly what Angelique meant by. 

"No." "Yes." Twins said they look at each other, "You understand how it works?" Issac asked Darcy smiles and nods her head "Of course it's not that hard." Darcy said Angelique smiles "Well you guys are free to continue touring the school...but of course I'm going to have you class president be your tour guide." Angelique said Darcy looks at her with a smile.

Kaleb walks out of the class and sees the twins with Mrs. Hardin, "You ask for me, Mrs. Hardin?" Kaleb asked looking at Angelique "Yes, this is Isaac and Darcy Carson our new students of Cheong. Please show them around and inform them of how our school works." Angelique said before leaving the twins in the hands of Kaleb Cheong. Isaac glances over at Kaleb "So you're the class president...didn't expect you to be a-" Kaleb sighed "Goody too shoe?" Kaleb asked Isaac chuckles and shook his head "No...I just didn't expect you to be it that's all." Isaac said Darcy smiles and looks at Kaleb "Oh...well has Mrs. Hardin gone over the timeline of the school?" Kaleb asked Darcy nods her head "Yeah she has...but she hasn't really shown us the whole school." Darcy said her voice was soft and kind it wasn't loud or obnoxious like some girls at school. Darcy's voice somehow made Kaleb feel for once in his lifetime...shy.
