Chapter 3: Meeting My Father

Amelia’s POV

  Hearing that my biological father is this close made my throat flair and my hearing go out. I noticed I was in Anthony’s arms and he was saying something but I couldn’t make it out.

  My biological dad is here.

  I start to have very blurred vision until its nothing but red. I hear screams and my mind is telling my body to stop but my body isn’t listening. It isn’t to long before I feel arms wrap around me and I succumb to the darkness.

Anthony’s POV

  “Well that’s good, because he just arrived.” I said to my mate with a smile on my face.

  I watched helplessly as my mate started to faint. I notice that her eyes are changing and her fangs are protruding from her gums. I tried to get to her to focus on me, asking her if she could hear me but it was like talking to a wall and I knew it.

  All of the sudden there was a change in my mate I never expected to see in her. Her eyes went dark red as if she were extremely angry. 

  The door slammed open and in came the man of the hour.

  The one.

  The only.

  The vampire king.

  It shocks me how much she looks like him. Same eyes, same facial features, same everything. She is his mirror image. I only noticed him come closer when he was speaking to my wolf who had since gained control.

  "Calm boy. I understand she is your mate but I am the only one who can help her right now. I know how to control newborns and have been doing it since before your great-grandparents were born." He said and that soothed my wolf a little bit. 

  Not much but some. I watched as he placed his hands on my beautiful mates face and whispered something in an ancient language that could have been Latin or Czech.

  Her eyes returned to their natural color and her breathing leveled out. 

  She passed out in my arms. I supposed the struggling to get out of them is what wore her out.

  I carried my mate to our room and laid her down. I kissed her cheek and moved a strand of her hair behind her delicate ear. I then turn around walk out of the room turning off the light and closing the door.
