Lucas's Party

The next morning I got up it was just after 8am Jess was still asleep. I went to the bathroom to wash up and head upstairs to make a coffee. The sun was shining, I stood on the back step taking in long slow breaths loving the fresh air against my face. I didn't even hear Jess sneak up on me "Morning" she bursts out making me jump and spill coffee everywhere "Thanks, I needed that" I said walking into the house to grab paper towel to whip myself where the coffee has spilled. "Sorry" she exclaims "you seemed lost in space" she adds. "Nah, I just really enjoy the morning breeze and sun" I smile at her. " You hungry or want a coffee?" I ask. "Both" she replies. I decide to make us some pancakes and make more coffee.

After we ate breakfast we sat on my bed listening to music while doing some homework. It was just after 11am when my phone went off. I was shocked to see it was Lucas.

Morning Sammy it read

Morning I reply.

"That can't be Zack?" Jess asks. "No, Lucas actually" looking at her.

I was up for awhile, but wasn't sure if you would still be asleep or not he replies

No, I've been up since after 8. Doing homework with Jess before heading to the mall.

Early riser, nice. So I actually wanted to know if you were coming tonight

"Let me guess, he's asking if you're going tonight?" Jess asks "Yeah, pretty much" I reply. "You don't seem too excited to go" she says.I give out a sigh and look at her "I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but why try and be all friendly now after I've been here for a year now, it's not like he bothered with me last year". I noticed Jess have a sad look on her face "Is that what this is about Sam cause I'm sure he would have if his ex girlfriend wasn't super jealous, I don't really know him that well either, but give him a chance" she says now smiling at me which makes me feel more at ease. "Fine" I reply.

Yes, I'm going. Jess, Austin, and Zack are coming with me. I text back to Lucas.

Great, can't wait. Austin already knows my address. See you then :)

I can't help but smile at myself, Jess notices and is staring at me. "I think  you have a thing for him" she says giggling I blush "No, I mean he's hot but not my type." I replied. "Anyway, we should take a shower and get ready to go to the mall, I've had it with homework for today, I will finish tomorrow." I add.

We get to the mall just after 1pm it was pretty busy. We wanted to get a new outfit for the first school dance next Friday, my favourite place to shop is a little shop called Siren's for party shirts. Jess is more on the old school side, she's not much for wearing anything too revealing or too short. My parent's are not overly strict on what I wear as long as you can't see my breasts, or my butt. I found a cute brown halter top that has beads all along the strap that goes around my neck. Jess picked out a cute black and red sequence sleeveless shirt. "I have a pair of pants that will work well with that shirt" I tell her. She smiles at me "Thanks".

After we did some more shopping, we decided to hit up the food court for a late lunch we grabbed some Chinese food, we both love fried rice and egg rolls. "You're staying over at my place again next Friday?" I ask. "Yes, if you don't mind" she replies. "Not at all, we can get ready for the dance together" I say smiling at her. "What should we do until we get ready to go to Lucas's?" Jess asks. "Well, we can go back to my place and watch a movie if you want?" I reply. "That works, let's go" she says getting up from the table.

We watched the ice princess to pass time and did each other's nails. I chose a dark sparkly purple, and Jess went with light pink. We got ready for the party, I wore a black long sleeve shirt that tied up the arms, and dark blue jeans, Jess wore one of my shirts, she chose a red over the shoulder long sleeve that ends at the elbow and white pants. I curled the ends of my hair, and Jess put her hair in a side low pony tail. My phone went off as we picking out our shoes to wear, it was Zack

Hey, we are ready, are you girls just about ready?

Yes, we are good to go :) I reply.

Perfect, we are on our way

"The boys are on there way" I advise Jess as I picked out black low boots. Jess has a pair of red flats in her hands "Perfect timing" she replies. We put our shoes on, and head upstairs as Zack pulls into the driveway in his jeep. We both get into the backseat. "You girls look lovely tonight" Austin says as we get into the vehicle. "Thanks" we both say at the same time, and we giggle.

The drive to Lucas's was short. I didn't realize he lived so close to me. His house was huge with brown brick. Zack finds a spot to park, and we walk up the driveway, there was a few cars here, which made me feel a little bit more at ease. Austin rings the doorbell, Lucas opens the door with a beer in his hand, smiling "Hey, you guys made it. Come in" he says walking behind the door to let us in. "Make yourselves at home, there is alcohol in the kitchen" he adds. With that, Austin and Jess are already heading towards the kitchen, one of Zacks friends came up to him and starting talking to him. Lucas stands close to me "Would you like a tour?" he asks me. "I look at him, "sure". The living room was to the right, and the dining room area going outside was straight ahead of the living room, the kitchen was straight ahead from the entry way, off the kitchen to the left was a small hallway, with stairs going to the basement and a small half bathroom across. Basement had a mini gym, and a lounging area, with a couch, pool table and tv, and the laundry room. The upstairs was to the left of the entry, top of the stairs to the left was a huge bathroom, across the hall was Luca's bedroom "Well come back to my room" he says. Down the hall was his parents bedroom which had a master bathroom, but we didn't go in there, the guest bedroom was across the hall from his parents, it was cozy looking, king size bed huge dresser, tv and nightstands on each side of the bed. We walked towards Lucas's bedroom, his room was even more comfortable looking then the guest bedroom, he had a huge bed, and a huge dresser, walk in closet, had a balcony, a couch and a tv. He sat on the bed looking at me "Sit" he says. He can tell by the look on my face I didn't really want to "I just want to talk I swear" he adds with a smile. I make my way to the bed, and sit next to him, I make eye contact. "I'm beyond happy you showed up Sammy, I know you don't really know me but that's why I decided to throw a small get together tonight, hoping you'd come so we could hang a bit" he says and I can see he's blushing a bit. "That's why we are alone in your bedroom?" I ask. "Oh, I just wanted to give you a tour, and talk a bit before heading back downstairs" he replies."So, what do you wanna know then?" I ask. He was about to ask me something, when we were interrupted by one of his friends " Oh sorry, I think Austin's girlfriend is looking for her" looking at me. "I guess I should go back downstairs then" I reply. "Thanks for the personal tour" I add looking back at Lucas with a smile on my face, who's looking at me deep in thought. I made it to the kitchen "Sammy, your here" Jess says running up to me. "I was hoping Lucas didn't scare you off or anything" she adds. "No,  Lucas was showing me around" I reply. I can see Zack sitting at the kitchen table looking at me, looking kind of relieved. Lucas walks in behind me stopping next to me " have a drink" he says. I help myself to a cooler.

Two hours later, and five coolers in, I was pretty drunk and was having a blast. Jess and I were dancing in the living room, Austin and Lucas joined. Zack was sitting on the couch drinking water watching. He didn't seem like he was enjoying himself at all, me on the other hand can't remember the last time I laughed so much I know the alcohol has a big part in that, but Lucas and Jess helped. Lucas made sure I was comfortable, probably hoping I would come back, or so we can hangout more. Right now, I had no objections as I felt like we could actually become good friends. I went to bathroom to go pee, and Lucas was waiting for me outside the door, he scared me "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asks " I'm feeling pretty good, I'm probably going to feel like s**t tomorrow though" I reply. I look over Lucas's shoulder I can see Zack standing there looking at me "Excuse me a sec, I think Zack wants to talk to me" I said walking passed Lucas. "What's up?" I ask Zack. "It's getting kind of late Sam, I told my mom I wouldn't be out too late." he replies. "Okay, we can go now." I go over to Jess and Austin who were making out on the couch. "Okay lovebirds, time to head home." I say. I can see Lucas looking at me from the entry way. I think he knew we were heading out. "Okay, we are going" Jess replies with a sigh. "You can stay at my place if you want Jess, I'll drive you home first thing in the morning" I tell her. "Oh thank you" she replies giving me a hug. I knew her parents would have a fit if they seen she was drinking. As we walk towards the door, I give Lucas a smile. He pulls me by the arm towards him, my heart stopped for a second. "Thanks again for coming Sammy, I'm sad to see you leave, but I'll text you in the morning" he said to me in my ear, and with that he puts his hand around my waist and gives me a small one arm hug, again my heart fluttered, and I was blushing. "Night" I said to him walking away.
