*At Yujin's manor*

The sound of the broken glass echoed in the hallway of the mansion.

"How dare they leave the team just like that!"

Kael was furious after Kane told him about the result of his visit at the academy.

"I know what you are feeling right now, but we are the Yujin family, we must always keep our cool. It is our pride, our strength, noble blood and our beauty, do not be frown over for the likes of those people"

"You do not understand me, I needed them as tools for climbing the top! With the seniors away on a mission, who the hell would replace those empty seat?! Even Gian said that she would avoid joining a team after we sort things out. Now there is nothing to sort things out!"

"So you despaired for just having your disposable toys taken away from you?"

Kane asked while savouring his wine.

Kael glared at his brother, he slowly walked towards his brother in a menacing way.

"I could arrange for independent students to join your team. They are somewhat or even stronger than your pathetic toys"

He proposed to Kael.

"I'm listening, but how are you going to bring them to my team?"

Kael asked his brother, as he pulled a chair for him to sit down.

"That easy, it is my field of expertise, what can I say? I'm just that great"

Kane declared proudly as he drank the last drop of wine.

"Just calm down and let me do my share in bringing down those bastards."

Kael stared at his brother. He rose up from his seat and walked away.

"Perhaps I am not the one who need to calm down, with the excited look in your face and your shaking body, I doubt you can hold out any longer. Anyways I'm looking forward, brother"

Kane had a menacing look in his face as he smiled while imagining the despair on their faces.

"This will be so much fun while watching from the best seat in this play. Hahaha!"

He whispered to himself then laughed without holding back.

It was rest day at the academy, classes with resume in the next few days after a two days of rest.

Harris and the others were practicing their new found technique.

*Before the rest day*

Charles and the others sat on the ground with some distance to each other, to avoid clashing with each other's concentration.

They took the pill and waited for the technique to lose its effects then endured the backfire to build stamina and resistance to the pin while slowly evolving their concentration types.

Rai carefully observed them from the moment they swallow their orbs to enduring the pain.

Charles who was the first one to somewhat evolve his concentration type seems to have progress a lot. His flames were darker than the last time it manifested.

Verette's light type started to glow a little bright as a result of her training everynight before she sleeps.

Harris' metal type started to influence the things that his body touches, in this case, the ground he had been sitting at was turning into metal and its spreading slowly at a decent rate for a new user.

Clara's concentration type that surrounds her became stronger, as a summoner you constantly need to shield yourself with a barrier to keep you away from harm while summoning. Unknown letters started to show from her skin, glowing with red lights.

Rica decided to wound herself before the practice begun, to see if using the technique while wounded would heal her wounds. Quite the experiment there Rica, the others tried to stop her but she drove them off saying"This is my experiment, I'll do what I see importance in". And yeah they could not do a thing. She brought a knife with her, knowing that the swordsmen will not let her barrow their swords after hearing her experiment. The wounds were instantly gone after Roca swallowed the orb.

Rai knew that would happen but he only kept quiet about it.

Taro's body kept producing steam. His training with the technique enhances both of his concentration type and body's growth a lot faster than anyone else.

And Leroy's dark type grows a little late than anyone, but progress was still visible. A ring with a black color that kept turning turning was floating behind his back.

All of them were practicing the technique and showed progress. A few minutes later after the pain subsided, Rica started to heal them.

"Ah, I experience this four times already but my body still can't get used to the pain."

Charles complained as he massage his legs.

"I only felt a little though"

"Oh come on Rica, you can heal yourself everytime, not to mention that you can erase pain from your mind"

Rica gestured "Duh" that really throw Charles off.

So he started chasing Rica even with the strain on his body is still lingering.

"Watch it"

"Sorry Clara! Come here you little-"

"These two really are energetic"

Harris muttered as he ttied to move his shoulders.

Taro drank water to replenish the sweat he produced.

Leroy on the other hand was testing his new concentration type.

"Looks like Rica's experiment was successful, the technique do heal you when you are wounded while under its effect. But take note of this, Rica was healed only after a few second because of her concentration type is close-related to the technique."

Rai announced as he offered them drinks.

"Rest for tonight, practice it in your rest day for the next two days."

"Noted"

They said their goodbyes and head home in pairs. Verette looked at Rai then smiled before leaving.

"Thank you for today Rai"

Rai nodded as harles thank him before leaving with the boys. The girls left first. They divided the pairs with their genders since the girls all go to the dorm and leave for their homes in the morning. And for the boys, they just all went straight to their homes.

"Where did Gaia run off to? Isn't it time to introduce him to them?"

Roxy's voice came from behind the tree, she was observing the new users progress as well.

"Their progress is quite a bit fast, especially Taro and Charles. Verette and Clara might be a little behind but its not bad. Not to mention they have a dark type in their team, such a rare type"

"I know, thats why I need to strengthen them, dark types can control those monsters to some degree. He can be the core piece in the battle between those kind of spicies."

Roxy emerged behind the tree and Rai looked at her.

"That Verette girl likes you a lot, between me and her. Who would you choose?"

Roxy asked a question where the answer was obvious. These kind of things annoy Rai so much, especially when the person who asked knows the answer herself.

"None"

Roxy get near to Rai and caressed his face. Rai felt her gentle touch but did not felt the love behind it. Not that Roxy didn't love her but his curse does not allow him to feel the love the people around him had given.

Tears run down from Roxy's eyes as she hugged Rai tightly. Tears started to fall from Rai's eyes, the negative emotions he feels is multiplied a thousand times by the curse.

"Why did you chose to seal that feeling away?"

Roxy asked while snorting as she cried.

"Because that feeling is the one thing I loathe from two years ago the most"

Rai answered while wiping the tears off of her cheeks.
