"Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!??" Everyone shouted as they heard the sound made by the orbs when it made contact with the floor.

"What was that Instructor Guru!?" the other instructors ask Guru.

"You scared the hell out of us!"

"I thought I was going to die"

Everyone was on uproar and blamed Guru for his wrong assumption.

"Strange, I think I saw him-" Verette thought about what happened earlier.

Rai snatched a glance at Verette, he sensed that that Verette knew what he did.

"I’m very sorry Mr. Guru for causing a scene. I am very sorry" Rai resume to act his play.

"Was I wrong? " Guru spoke to himself.

He couldn’t believe what happened.

"I was sure that it would explode, was I wrong?" he thought about the details but failed to come up with an answer.

He looked at Rai who was groveling before him.

"Maybe this kid is not as strong as I think he is" He thought as he recalled the times when a concentrated orb is released.

Then suddenly the headmaster arrived which startled Guru, the headmaster saw Rai groveling in front of him who is embarrassed of the situation.

"What is with all these commotion?" the headmaster inquire.

Guru walk towards the headmaster to explain everything.

"Headmaster I can explain" sweat is dropping from his face when he got close to the headmaster.

The headmaster rub his eyes and yawn as Guru tried to explain what really happened. After that he turned to Guru.

"Seems like the matter with Mr. Raze has been dealt with, so what happened here? A student barged straight into my office right when I was doing something important."

You might have guessed what was that important thing that the headmaster said he was doing. Yeah, you guessed it right. He was in the middle of a sleep when a student barged into his office.

The headmaster did his best to stand straight.

Amber rushed into the room as well, after hearing the news.

"Oh, Amber you are here, you heard the news?"

"Yes headmaster, and whats with this scene?" she ask while panting.

"You can get up now Rai" said the headmaster who was half-asleep.

"Thank you" Rai replied while looking down.

Rai smirked as he rose from his feet. Verette saw him do it for the second time. Both of their eyes met, Verette saw Rai's purple eyes and Rai saw her beautiful blue eyes. Verette was enchanted by Rai's purple eyes that even after Rai averted his gaze she still stared at space.

"I’m sorry for causing everyone trouble, please forgive me." Rai apologize to everyone.

The headmaster knew that something is up but left it for another day. A lot happened because of a misunderstanding but the classes will resume as scheduled.. Everyone was leaving and returning to their rooms and seats. Charles told Verette that they should return to their seats as he walk towards his seat, but he felt that Verette wasn’t following him so he look back and saw Verette, still standing and staring at the space.

"What happened to her? Hey, Verette. Lets go back, hey can you hear me?" he called out to her again.

Charles put his hands on her shoulders and shake her,finally Verette snap out. Confused of what happened, she just turn back to her seat.

"You okay?" the worried Charles asked.

"Uhhhm, yes. I’m fine" Verette answered in a meekly manner.

After Verette answered she look at Charles who is confused about her answer.

"You sure? Cause you know, your face is beet red right now." he told her as he points to her face.

"What?!" she exclaimed.

When Verette heard him, she immediately took out her mirror to look at herself and saw her beet red face.

"Oh no, sorry Charles I need to go to the bathroom." she apologize as she hurriedly went out to the bathroom.

"O-okay" muttered Charles who was confused about what happened.

Verette ran out of the room and hurried to the bathroom where she met Charlotte near the entrance.

"Oh, Verette. Are you sick? Your face is red" Charlotte asked as she notice her face.

"No, its just- nothing" Verette could not come up with an excuse.

"If you feel a little sick just ask Gian to cast Recovery on you okay?" Charlotte suggested.

"Thank you, I will" she answered and thanked Charlotte.

"I'll be heading out first then” Charlotte said as she wave to Verette goodbye.

Charlotte was about to leave the bathroom.

“Charlotte” Verette call out to her.

"What happened 2 years ago before I was transferred here?" Verette ask Charlotte who instantly stop after hearing the question.

Charlotte went silent for a moment.

"Sorry Verette, I don’t want to talk about it. Besides it happened in the past" Charlotte refuse to give Verette an answer.

"Is that what made him who he is today?" Verette ask as she look Charlotte in the eyes.

Charlotte looked at Verette in shocked, Verette is normally a silent person who never speak of anything, had ask something about a serious matter.

"Are you- In love with Rai?" Charlotte tried to confirm what urge Verette to speak up.

The instant Charlotte ask, Verette immediately averted her gaze.

"I don’t know myself" Verette said as she covers her face.

"I see" Charlotte said as she left the bathroom.

"So you begun to like him huh?" She thought as she walked away from the bathroom and headed towards their room.

Verette return to their room, as she enter the room, she glanced at Rai who was playing with the lightning he release in his hands.

"Those pretty eyes" She thought as she return her seat. The worried Charles asked if she was sick but Verette shook her head.

The day ended earlier because the headmaster requires the audience of the instructors involved in today's incident. So everyone went home except for Rai who was playing with his lightning while resting his head in his desk.

When Verette was about to leave the room, she glanced at Rai once again, he is still playing with his hand.

Rai look at Verette as she left the room.

"How did she caught me, does she know that I did it on purpose?" He wondered as he stopped playing with his lightning.

Suddenly someone entered the room, it was Charles who look intensely at Rai.

"You look like you'll burn everyone with those eyes" Rai said as he laid he back on his seat.

"Sorry, you’re just at the window so the light is kind of giving me a hard time." Charles rub his eyes after clearing the misunderstanding.

"Oh, my bad. I’m sorry, so what do you want?" Rai apologized and ask Charles.

"I came here to ask you about two things" he said with a stern face.

"Go on" Rai gestured Charles to continue.

"First , what did you do to Verette?" Charles went straight to the point.

Rai was caught off guard, he did not remember anything.

"Oh, the blue-colored eye girl that you are always with?" Rai recalled.

"Dude just call her Verette if you know her already, well, yeah. Since this morning she doesn’t act like she always does. Maybe you did something to her?" Charles ask with a concerned face.

"Do I look like a guy who would do something to girls?" Rai said with look of a guy wrongly accused.

"Dude I’m just asking, you can just say no." Charles reminded.

Rai scratched his forehead and let out a sigh.

"Hah, nope I didn’t do anything, our eyes met earlier during the incident that’s all. And by the way, why don’t you sit as we talk. I’d be troubled if you go numb later by stand there." Rai explained and suggested Charles to have a sit.

Charles was standing ever since he entered the room so Rai tried to be considerate as possible.

"Oh yeah, haha. Thanks" Charles raise his arm as he remembered.

"Don’t thank me i***t, you have your right to sit anywhere you like" Rai said as he points to the nearest chair.

"Well, you don’t have to call me an i***t, but I know I am one." Charles corrected.

"You’re still afraid?" Rai ask in a piercing tone.

"A little, I still can’t forget what happened. I still have nightmares every now and then." Charles answered while touching his forehead.

He look at Rai, wondering what is going on in his head.

"You become too strong , I bet you are stronger than all the instructors combined." Charles praise Rai for his strength as he recall the moment when the hatchling desperately tried to escape death from Rai’s hands

"Who knows, so what is your second question?" Rai answer in an uninterested manner.

After Rai ask Charles' face became serious, he glance at the door to see if someone is coming. It gave Rai a hint that the next question must be confidential.

"You felt it too right?" Charles is trying to confirm if Rai felt it as well.

Charles caught Rai's attention as he ask an unusual question.

"You know, long before you left. Students died but it was kept a secret by the whole school. And I proved it earlier, my assumptions might be true" Charles whispered to Rai’s ears.

Charles glanced at the door from time to time as he relay the details he knew.

"It bugged me earlier too. So that’s what happened, seems like an underground organization is at work." Rai felt something weird as well.

For assurance, Charles decided to close the door.

"I had my hunch earlier this year when 3 students transferred out. So I asked around their close friends if the said students had the urge to transfer out, and it turns out they don’t even consider transferring out." he said after closing the door.

"Did you work it out by yourself? Rai immediately ask Charles after he return back to his seat.

“No, Verette and I are both doing our secret investigation, we kept it from the rest of the group though." Charles answered in a serious manner.

Rai realized why Charles had to ask if he had done anything to his partner, Verette.

"So that’s why you asked if I did something to her, she can’t focus if her mind is wandering off" Rai concluded.

"Yeah, this case is really dangerous one so we look out for each other. But it seems like we found an accomplice, and a strong one at that." Charles showed a smile in anticipation.

"Please don’t use the word accomplice, it sounds like you guys are doing something illegal. Plus I haven’t agreed on anything yet" Rai corrected him.

Charles’ smile immediately left his face.

"Do you still hold a grudge against us?" Charles ask with a sad face.

"There are some who despised me and there are some who didn’t. It would be immature of me to hate everyone, not to mention that is now in the past. I was over it ages ago." Rai answered the saddened Charles.

He sigh in relief as he knew what Rai felt. He instantly regained his positive vibe back.

"Thanks, it was immature of me to hate you, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. And you are easy to talk to, lets talk again tomorrow and tell me what you decided." Charles said with a smiling face.

"Yeah" Rai replied.

Charles rose up from his seat, and waved goodbye as he walks away.

"Hey, the underground guys might have found out already that you guys were sniffing out information from the students. Word of advice, don’t trust any of them. So be careful" Rai gave Charles a warning.

"Yeah, thanks Rai, you be careful too”[Not that you needed to though] he thought as he exits the room.

Charles left and Rai stood up from his seat and left the room as well.

As he walked in the same alley as he do every time, a girl with their uniform in a hood appeared from the dark. But Rai knew who it was even with a hood covering most part of her head. The girl stood there as if waiting for Rai to come.

"What do you want, Verette?" Rai ask instantly revealing the girl’s name.

That gave the girl a shock, it can’t be seen from her face, but her gestures were giving it out.

"I thought it was useless to use a hood but I still did" Verette regret even doing something idiotic.

She took off her hood and revealed her silver colored hair and her blue eyes.

"What is a fragile looking girl doing in an alley as dark as this, you never know what happens here." Rai said in a sweet voice.

"I knew you use this way to go home, so its convenient" Verette said as she put her hood away.

"Yeah, so what do you want?" Rai wanted to go straight to the point and leave immediately.

"I’m here to ask you"Verette walked towards Rai who is holding his bag on his back.

Verette came closer to Rai. And raised her head a few inches away from Rai's face, this shocked Rai for a second. Who knew that there is a girl who would look at him so closely as she just did.

Their face is so close that it looks like Verettis kissing Rai.He came back to his senses, but the shock was still lingering.

"You’re quite bold, blue-colored eyed girl." Rai said as he look into her eyes.

Verette realized that she did something unreasonable, that moment when she came back to her senses and saw Rai's face up close, her face turned red like a tomato and she step back a few steps away from him.

"I’m sorry, my body just move on its own" Verette clarified.

"No problems here, so what do you want?" his question did not change.

Verette glance at him shyly because of how embarrassed she is.

"It may be weird to ask but, why is your eyes so alluring?" Verette said shyly.

"Huh?"Rai muttered as he heard the question but quickly retorted

"Oh that, I once asked my father how he met my mother. Apparently my family has this thing, they call our eyes "Succubus' heart" it attracts maidens with the probability of marriage.

Rai told the details related to his eyes.
