My dear stranger
By, Shae Kamerer
"The Autumn sun shines so deep in my heart I feel it break as I realize My dear stranger is missing, never to say good-bye. I hear words ring in my head, we met, we laughed, we faught lost and won our battles. Looked like fools, looked for colors and different music to dance to. We disagree and pull away and sometimes we agree and dance to the same beat. We still meet in the same heart that stilll beats for us all. My dear sister where have you gone? What caused your feet to want to run? You left so sudden, never said good bye, I love ya and I hope you will be home soon. The words we spoke still remain, the words we left unspoken will spin around in our hearts like spider webs waiting to be strung. How I long to hear your voice, and to see your smile again. Did you see monster's in your memories or dreams? Did the ghosts from our past chase you away? Like an acorn falling from a tree, my thoughts will swing with the branches full of leaves and when I close my eyes I dream that we will meet again. Maybe in a dream, in another time or place,or maybe not at all. The pen isn't done writing our story yet, so maybe the writer of fate will write you a story directing you back home again. We will only know when the stars are aline and the time is right.
In the mean time I hope to see you again, I am realizing in this moment you're more of a stranger to me than a sister, I didn't know what was going on in your restless mind to carry you away. My dear Stranger, we are far away from the moon and stars unable to touch the clouds above. Even if it is just for one night can we pretent to be kids again? Go running as fast as we can on the sidewalk to see who can reach the finish line first. Than when it's time for a break, sit on the porch eating ice cream, talking about childish dreams we thought we'd do once we were older. The lost candle hiding in a willow tree away from the hurricane, still shined brightly through it all. Its strays away from all the other burning candles, yet it still knows where to go when it needs a place to go. When it starts its journey home it will see all the other candles burning with glea.. When you come back to the hollowed out wilow we wil all be standing there, shining as bright as the Autumn sun, smiling, saying, Welcome home..
