Time to head home

Amani had spent the night with her aunt. The family was sad at the thought of Pearl leaving so soon, but Amani actually had other plans for Pearl. " My kingdom is not set up yet, so for the time being I want you to stay here with your family, you have schooling to do. I want you to know your family and not just in passing. We will communicate through mirrors as well as the astral planes if we have to, but I cannot, in good conscience, allow you to come with me so soon after reuniting with your mother, who has longed for you for so long." The king and queen embraced each other "when our castle has been completed and I am ready to have you come live with us and make sure you are being well taken care of and have a goal in life to obtain you can come live with us" Amani had made up her mind on the matter she needed to focus on her education she was still young and if she was going to be an envoy she had allot she needed to learn as well even if it was just a front for her real job as the kingdoms prophet. As soon as breakfast had finished, many of the Greyson's had already left. In the end, the only people left were Rue, Motono, Marthius, The Greyson brothers, Koki, Kono , Keokuk and their pack members that had come along. Their party left. The alpha brothers were all in the front, while her protectors were in the middle, followed closely by Amani and the rest of the packs minus Motono , Marthius and Motono's protectors, were in the rear. The elderly or sickly were always at the front of a traveling party, setting the pace of the pack. Since they were the elders of the pack, they led the way. Next, there would be a selection of the strongest members, most likely warriors, then you would have the rest of the pack in the center with the Alpha following behind. In their case, as Motono was now technically a King, there was no way he would be left alone, so his protectors were with him . Marthius usually would have been up front behind the elders but he had been warned by Pearl to not leave Motono's side on their journey. Pearl hadn't said anything to Amani about what she knew about Motono , but she knew there was something she had seen involving their trip back home . The fear of not knowing what was going to happen made her want to cancel their trip back home. Amani was queen now, so she could not allow her life to be run by fear. Gina was on high alert. She was in tune with Motono's wolf Tono and the link their souls share. Amani was still not familiar with the bond shared between her and Motono beyond the sense of comfort and peace she felt by his side. She knew nothing of the pain she would feel if she lost him , but Gina knew from her previous life , usually the wolf spirits would forget all about their previous loves, their lives , they would usually have their memories wiped, but sometimes they stayed if they were needed to help in the new body's path of life. Amani could feel her uncle was nearby her eyes glowed brightly and she started to float in the air. " Nuka Grace, Do not tempt me , I will strike you dead where you stand. I have eyes everywhere. I feel the bond between our blood, you cannot hide from me with your meager powers". Shay flew up into the sky and grew in size. She grew as big as a griffin. Before Shay could strike, Amani felt her uncle's presence vanish. "He has left, but let's be realistic, he will send someone to do his bidding. He now views Motono as his enemy, as my future king." Amani spoke loudly , so the people around her could hear what she had to say. Motono looked unbothered with a shrug of his shoulder he said " every king and Alpha has at least one power-hungry enemy. He fears you now, but soon enough, he will learn to fear me as well." They were going to camp out over night with the protectors and the elementals would keep watch over their king and queen as well as all the people with them. Amani could see salamanders playing in the camp fire. She would smile at them as they would run and frolic through the fire and around her feet. They were roasting wild game meat that was caught by the pack men while the rest were busy setting up camp. Amani and Gina were scanning the area on the spirit plane looking for any signs that there were enemies lingering in the dark. She could also see if her uncle was still around in the same way too. She returned to herself as a plate was gently placed on her lap. " Make sure you eat Amani, you need to keep your strength up ". She smiled at Zonta. " Thank you Zonta , come sit and eat with me." "I'd love to eat with you ", the girls sat next to each other gossiping while the men were all making plans on who would guard the pack in which shifts. When Amani was finally ready to sleep she shifted into Gina's form so that she would be better able to be alerted to everything around her. She was surrounded by elementals as she slept and no one would get through them to reach her unless they knew the person was part of the party. As she slept, Amani's ears twitched. She started to feel goosebumps along her body, which let her know spirits were afoot before she could jump up. She heard Shay caw, then she felt the spirit's shock " I mean you no harm Majesty , I need your help please! My body. I was forced out of my body before they could capture me. I fled but ... if I do not go back to my body soon my body will die", Amani listened to the spirit. As the queen, she couldn't ignore this spirit, so she would have to discuss things with Motono.
