The door to her office slid open, and John strode in.
“Lewis, Mercier, and Mancini are all in their quarters. They won’t cause us any trouble tonight.”
“Are you sure?”
“There are two of our Marines outside each door. Yes, I’m sure.”
“Their Marines?”
“Restricted to quarters until further notice.”
“What about Dr. Forrest?”
John hunched a shoulder. “He’s swearing up and down he had nothing to do with it, that he’s been framed.”
“But he was on Terra.”
“He admits to that. His excuse was that he brought a flash drive to PPA headquarters to give them firsthand information about how our replacements were mishandling Eden.”
“Do you believe him?” He’d also gone to see Peter, but apparently Forrest hadn’t informed John of that, and she wondered about that.
