*Reprise from ep 22* "Come to think of it, ever since the beginning... Since before I met you.. I've been quite fond of you, Senku-chan, setting aside personal gains. I'm sure it's the same for all the other villagers. You might say it's cringy though" explained Gen. Senku looked at him and then paused for a second. "Yeah, that's cringy" he chuckled. "See?" After a while, everyone left the place to return to the village and the only ones left standing in the high, just built observatory, were the two partners in crime Senku and Gen. They sat on the floor looking at the bright stars, one wondering what work they're gonna do tomorrow, and the other wondering what's gonna happen if his feeling were to be revealed right at that moment. While happily staring at Senku, the words just slipped out of his mouth... "Senku-chan..." he whispered. "What's wrong?" asked Senku while turning around with an annoyed but still curious look on his face. "This might also sound cringy to you... even more than before actually" "Carry on..?" "I fell in love with you" Senku paused for a moment and all he could do was panic inside. He was trying not to show it but, after he recollected his thoughts, his calm face suddenly turned into one of the most suprised faces he's ever done in his life. One moment later, he looked all frustrated and a light red blush appeared on his cheeks. When he realized it, he quickly moved his slim hands up to cover his expression. "..." "Senku-chan..? Oh I see.. that surprised you, didn't it~" "Stop joking around Gen!! It's not funny!!" he snapped. "Who said I was joking..." mumbled Gen, "I'm being more serious than ever!" "That's still not enough! You're NEVER serious!" exclaimed Senku after getting up and suddenly grabbing Gen by his shoulders. This time, more than angry, his face looked like he really longed for that "lie", to be true. Without hesitation, Gen gently grabbed his hands. He looked at him in the eyes, and while trying to look convincing.. "But what if this time I am... dear Senku-chan?"
