Chapter 10: SHE HAS SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART
"Yes mom, I responded and nod."
So after I ate my breakfast, I went into our bedroom and I took my medicine to the table and opened the cabinet, I took the small box and put them on my pocket along with my medicine.
We were a few meters away from their house, I saw the truck parked in front of their gate, and people were lowering chairs and tables. we arrived at there house and so everyone was busy. my mother goes straight inside the house to assist them and I went directly to the rear of the house.
The celebration will start at three in the afternoon. the party will be held in the backyard, you will see some of the chairs and tables and there is a small stage.
I abruptly heard somebody shouted my name. I turned around to look who is calling me, I saw Lilly's mom. In the window waving her hand, and shouted my name.
"Come, Alex, She called my name again."
I ran and go to the front door of the house, straight to where her mother standing.
I saw her holding a tray with a glass of juice and biscuits.
"Hello, aunty! I greeted, you're calling me?"
"Yes Alex, because I need your help, can you bring this to Lily, She's inside of her room, she answered and she asked for a favour to bring the tray to lily" after a while we heard Lily's father calling his wife, so Lily's mother gave the tray to him.
"Can you please help me bring this snack to the lily?"
"Sure aunty, and I took the tray from her hands and went to lily's room."
Alex knocks the door three times until he heard the voice of Lily, he pushed opened the door and entered.
Happy birthday day to you.! Happy birthday! happy birthday! Happy birthday to you. I sang for her.
I can see that she's surprised, and the pleasure on her face to see me.
"Thank you! I thought you will not come."
"Why should I not come. didn't I promise you that I will come?"
"Did you know that I'm very happy she said with a coquettish glance?"
"Yes, I know because it's your special day," he smirked.
"Yes I am, but that's not only the reason,"
"Then what's the other reason?" He frowned.
"Because you are feeling well now, I believe you are not in pain, because you are here, you are attending my birthday." The fun was drawn on her face.
I brought you a snack., eat that so you don't go hungry later, you will be busy taking care of your guests.
and I put down the tray on the table next to her bed. and she sat down and began to eat. she took a piece of biscuit and put in into my mouth.
I was flattered by her gestures. I suddenly felt my heart skip a bit especially the accidental touch of his finger on my lips.
I stared at her face, especially at her lips. and she was looking at me too. I can't help myself to touch her soft face, and I slowly lowered my lip to hers.
All of a sudden we heard a knock on the door.
I turned my face away and saw a sudden reddening of her cheek in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, I uttered, I regretted what I had done and I suddenly felt Fear, that Lily might be angry with me."
And she bows her head. I know we are very young but she has a special place in my heart.
Knock...knock... We heard the knock again for the second time.
"Lily my dear, be ready your guests are coming soon it was her mom's voice."
"Yes mom, I'm almost done, Lily answered,"
"Alright, I need to go out and wait for you outside." He said in a low voice.
"Okay! she said without looking at him.
I was at the door when I remembered my gift to her. I went back and called her name "Lily I forget to give you something." she turned and at the same time I fished out a box from my pocket.
"Happy birthday, And I gave her my gift."
"Wow, thank you, She said happily and took it. What is it? She asked."
"Open it!"
She opened and took it out of the box. "wow, it's gorgeous. but why it's the only half heart? Where is the other half? And she looks at me."
"You guessed it? And I winked with a soft smile."
"is it in you ? she replied with eagerness in her tone."
I smiled and nodded "Don't worry .at the right time we will stick them. I said I can see the radiance in her eyes,"
"Promise me to take care of it. and I took her hands and put on my left chest, And this my real heart promised to love no one but only you and I kissed the back of her hands. I love you, Lily."
