Chapter 8: PLEASE GET WELL VERY SOON
I unlocked the door, I was surprised to see Lily was standing outside the house holding a plastic bag.
"Oh Lily, Why are you here? I can't quite imagine lily coming here. she's still wearing her school uniform. Indicates that she never change her clothes. I think when she comes back from school, she went straight here.
"I heard from my mother this morning, that you are sick, that's why as soon as arrive back from school, I just put down my bag in the house. I came immediately here, she's smiling I can see her perspiration on her forehead.
"How's your feeling now? She asked with concern on her voice,"
"Come in..come in... what is happening to me? I merely let you stand there, please forgive me lily." I apologize to her, as I wildly opened the door for her to come inside.
As soon as we arrived inside, I went straight to the kitchen, open the fridge and grabbed a jug of cold water and poured it in the glass and gave it to her.
"Thank you, she uttered before she drinks the water,"
"I understand you barely surprised to see me. She smiled, you didn't believe me to appear right? She winked and I know she's teasing me."
"By the way, where's auntie? She asked while offering the plastic bag she's holding, I brought you some fruit and juice."
"My mother was taking a nap, I replied. Thank you, Lily, I said as I grabbed the plastic she gave."
"I wish tomorrow you can attend my birthday party, Please get well very soon. As she's clasping her hands together, please...she asked with a begging voice."
I was smirking and told her not to concern because "I'm fine now I'm not ill anymore especially that I saw you today." With a mischievous smile.
I saw her blushing.,and I told her she was the ample and powerful treatment for my illness the more her face getting redden. As red as a ripe tomato, She bowed her head, trying to hide her face.
Abruptly my mother came out of the room. She was surprised when she saw Lily was in the living room
"Oh. Lily, you're here"
I felt her mother come out of their room. and I heard her dub my name
I tranquil myself down because I could feel my cheeks still blushing.
Because of unexpected compliment from him, there's a portion of my heart that rejoicing. and I lifted my head and looked at his mother and responded
"Yes, auntie, I only came to see you and Alex because I came to know from my mom that Alex was sick."
"And my mom needs to tell you something, that please come tomorrow in the house because we truly need your help. Because tomorrow is my birthday celebration we're going to have a party, please auntie comes tomorrow and hopefully, you will take Alex with you. She added, and her gaze to Alex, she saw him looking at her, so she swift her gaze back to Alex mother.
"You don't have to ask for it Lily, I will come, I told it already to your mom this morning. and for Alex, it depends if he will feel better tomorrow. and she looked at Alex."
"Don't worry mother I'm feeling good now. his gaze was on Lily with a soft smile."
When Lily saw that his still staring at her, she immediately bowed her head, because she feels her face getting hot,
"for sure we can come tomorrow at Lily's birthday just I need to take a good sleep tonight" he added. He looks at his mother, because he feels pity to Lily, as he can see how she's blushing every time they're gaze meet.
"Alright son, just takes your medicine after dinner. She said walking towards the kitchen took a glass of water.
"Okay Auntie, I think I need to go. before it's getting dark and she stood up."
"Okay dear, don't worry I will drop you off in your house, it's just five minutes' walk I only drop you in your gate..his mother volunteers.
"Thank you, auntie."
"Bye Alex, get well soon, I smirked and I waved my hand and walked towards the door going out of their house,
auntie was next to me when we came out."
"Thank you, auntie, for dropping me off."
"Don't mention it, I should be the one to say thank you for visiting us,"
"It's okay aunty, I'm just concerned when I knew Alex was sick, and I lifted my head and looked at her."
She smiled and said, "My son was very lucky to have a friend like you." And she tapped my shoulder.
"All right, go inside, your parents are waiting for you, get in before they get worried," she commanded.
"Most especially it's getting dark. just say to your mother, that I'm sure to come early tomorrow okay."
"Yes auntie, I nodded and waved my hand say goodbye and goodnight to her, and turned around to open the gate and went inside of the house."
