WEEK 4 + Overcome Writer’s Block

Chapter 1: Fiancé

‘In the Kingdom of Elvian, the current monarchy is led by King Elrion and Queen Elizabeth. Their Kingdom has been built over a hundred years ago. The population consists mostly of Elves but there are legends that before their Kingdom was built, Gods and Goddesses used to play in the grounds, which happened to be the place where the Kindom of Elvian is located.

A lot of races voiced out the unfairness the Gods have given to each race. The Elves were said to be creatures that are favored by the Gods and Goddesses as they possess extraordinary beauty, intelligence, superiority, and above all the God’s blessing. God’s blessing is also known as Abilities which is what we can naturally wield since we were born. While the other races like beastmen that look like a real beast, the dwarfs whose small and not exactly beautiful but cute, the magicians who have to wait until the Gods gave them magic were envious towards the Elf race.’

“Sis Gwy! Are they still envious of our race?” Jeosep, one of the kids I am teaching suddenly asks. I closed the book I was reading to them and place it in my lap. I tucked some of my escaped hair behind my ear and throw a glance at the kids in front of me.

“Who knows? You know Jeosep, we can’t help but be envious of other races. Whether we like it or not it is natural to have mixed emotions and opinions, either positive or negative. The Gods didn’t exactly create a perfect species, it's just that it happened that there is always someone who’s way above the others.” I leaned in them and place my right hand in my chest.

“Listen, kids, when you grow up I wish that you’ll be someone who won’t judge others and criticize them because they are from a different race. You should be an elf that knows what is right and not. You can be emotional, you can be free to feel anger, hatred, envious, jealousy, and other negative emotions but remember that those emotions won’t lead you into something great so if you feel like you’re feeling those emotions, close your eyes and imagine positive things.”

I wasn’t finished yet when Elena, my waiting-in-lady suddenly whispered in my ears.

“Your highness, Anna informed me that His Royal Majesty and Her Royal Highness are calling for you.” I nod my head at her and turn again towards the kids.

I saw them staring at me with their innocent eyes. “You must always remember what I said alright? Not only through your mind but keep it to your heart” I saw them all nodding, I stood up from sitting.

“Sis Gwy, are you leaving now?” Jea, Jeosep's little sister asks while holding my hand. I nod at her. I kneel down at her level and ruffled her hair.

“Yes, Sister have to live now Jea.” I turn my gaze toward the children. They look like they were about to cry. I gave them a comforting smile

“ Don’t worry I’ll be back again in another time, so while I’m gone you have to be a?”

“Good and Righteous Elf!” They synchronized shouted. I laugh at their cute behavior and stand up. I let them all kiss me and hug me before I left the charity where they live.

“Why did mother and father called for me?” Elena shrugs her shoulder and made me wear a cloak before pulling out the teleportation device. “Anna didn’t tell me, your highness”

“I told you to call me Gwy if were alone together.” She apologized formally. I just shrug my shoulder at her and let her be. ‘It's unusual for Anna, not to know why Father and Mother called for me.’

“Your highness. I think my Anna my sister was told not to tell you the reason.” I glanced at her and nodded in agreement.

Elena held me, I closed my eyes when she pressed the teleportation device. When I opened it again I saw that I am now in my room. Anna was standing beside my head holding a dress. When she noticed our presence she immediately made me change my clothes into the dress she was holding.

It takes us a half-hour to prepare myself. They made me wore a Golden turtle neck dress with glitters in the half upper body. It is also fitted in my boy emphasizing my curves. They partnered it with a dangling diamond earring and a silver long shawl that reached the ground. She also wore the tiara she uses and silver high heels.

We proceed to the receiving hall where father and mother informed me to go. The guards greeted me when they saw me.

“PRINCESS ELBERETH GWYDDIEN IS NOW ENTERING THE HALL!” The two huge doors opened. I stepped inside and I was surprised when I saw that there are visitors inside. I keep my composure and walk in my throne chair. I bowed at mother and father before I sat down.

Father suddenly rise, making the noisy banquet to went silent. “Thank you for attending this surprise event” Father then look at his side. I saw a very familiar family went on the stage. Aunt Caela with his son Callie went beside father. I was startled when my father turned to me and place his hands in front of me. I took his hands and went on his other side.

“Today is a good day to celebrate,” I was confused about what’s happening. I glanced at Callie, my best friend since childhood, and tried to talk to him. He notices my glances but he just smiles gently. He turns his head again towards the crowd and showed his usual arrogant face. “Today, I King Elrion announced and declare, Callie as my future son-in-law and my daughter’s soon to be husband.”

I froze when I heard what my father said. ‘Husband?’ I looked at my mother to ask for help but she just also smiled at me.

“Tomorrow, their wedding will be held immediately. Today let’s celebrate the precious event.” Father picks a wine from the server and raises it. “Kampai!” The crowd cheerfully shouted and they drank it. I couldn’t move due to shock.

I didn’t even do anything during the banquet. I just stared at my hands placed in my lap. Callie attempted to talk to me but I didn’t respond to him. The banquet quickly ended exactly an hour before midnight.

I walk back to my room, not in my right mind. I think of a plan to avoid the wedding while I was heading back. The moment I step into my room and closed the door I dismissed all my servants leaving me alone. An idea pop into my mind.

‘Tonight, I’ll escape!’
