Chapter 12I’d given Andy the address of the new place and said I’d meet her and Cloud there at nine the next morning. When I got there, they were already there, inspecting the field.
“Good morning,” I called as I walked out to where she was.
“Good morning.” A beautiful young woman stood near her. Her golden-brown hair was tied into two braids just behind her ears.
“And you must be Cloud,” I said extending my hand.
She took my hand with both of hers. “Yes, I am Thunder-Cloud Greenfield. I can’t wait to start working for you.”
“Was the salary all right that Andy negotiated for you?”
“Oh, yes. It will be wonderful. I would have done it just to help Andy. You would have gotten two for one.”
“That’s sweet of you, but I can’t let anyone work for me without being paid.”
“Thank you.”
