11. Let me see!

1147 Words
I feel like a spy where I am lying, or more like a sniper. Dandy is out here on the paintball field somewhere. I am hiding in the high grass behind some wheels, looking for her. We are playing alone, and it is nice. A good way to make me better, but I can't seem to see her. The sun is shining very well in the middle of September, but I can feel it getting colder. That is a good advantage, then to play in the warmth. It's hard to breathe, but it is all just perfect now. "Oh my god!" I yell as I feel the tip of the gun on my back. I sigh of irritation and lay my face down on the ground. Dandy moves it off me and I stand up, taking off my mask. "That is the second time today." I say annoyed, but Dandy smiles gently as she takes off her mask. "You are not very kind to me today are you?" I chuckle, but then the sound of my paintball gun fire makes me jump. Dandy is watching me with pain in her eyes as she struggles to breath. "Oh my god! I am so sorry!" I say in shock as I just shot her in the stomach on very close hold. She let the gun and mask on the ground as she falls down with her hands in fits. That must have hurt like hell. "Dandy," I sit down next to her in worry as she tries to control her pain by breathing hard. "I'm so sorry. I forgot to put the safety on." I say guilty, she must have that horrible bruise on her skin right now. After a little while, her breathing calms down. "I am so sor..." She put her hand on my mouth and then try to stand up. I do the same, and I meet her eyes. There is still a pain in them, but she does not seem angry. "I'm sorry." I say, but she shakes her head as she picks up the paintball guns and then stumbles down to the car. I roll my eyes. "Dandy, I can take them." I say as I step next to her, but she is too stubborn to react to my words. I almost growl in frustration as I run back to take the masks with me. Dandy sits on the edge of the trunk as I put them in there. "Are we going to clean the guns?" I wonder, but she shakes her head as she reaches the car key to me. I take it and I watch Dandy stumble to her seat. She must be in pain, but she tries to hide it. I should have put the safety on or at least pointed the gun down on the ground and not on her. "Let me see!" I say irritated, but Dandy keeps on holding my hands away from her. She is sitting on the couch and I want to see how bad her bruise looks like. Dandy is holding my hands in hers and I keep on fighting to get them lose out of her strong grip. She ends up holding them to high and my left foot slip and I end up all over her. "Dandy!" I shout annoyed as I push myself up by her shoulders, which makes her eyes hardened. She smiled before, but now there is something else going on in her eyes. I feel intimidated, by her gaze. So I move off her slowly, but she grabs my hand fast, locking me on her lap. She closes her eyes hard, and then open them with an apology. Her eyes just so soft that you can see how sorry she is. I cup her cheek as she let go of my hand. She closes her eyes off my light touch. "Please, let me see." I beg for her and she opens her eyes gently. She sighs as she gives in. I move off her and she lay right down on the couch. I look at her for a short while to make sure it's okay and it seems to be a pull up her shirt. I swallow hard as I see her bare stomach. I mean that I am struggling to keep my hand away from her. I want to trace her strong stomach with my fingers, but I can't. My eyes drift down next to her navel. Where you can actually see the form from the paintball, dug into her skin and around it, everything is blue and purple. Just the look of it makes my eyes create tears, but I keep them away. God, it's so awful. Dandy sit on the edge of the couch and cup my cheeks to make me meet her eyes. She seems worried, but I take both of her hands off me. "I'm sorry." I tell in sadness of what I did to her. "I'm so sorry." I repeat crying as I wrap my arms around her neck. Dandy stand up and my hands end up on her collarbones, but I don't look into her eyes. I don't want her to see me cry, but Dandy brush my blond hair behind my ear. Then she put her hand under my chin to force me to look at her. She watches me worried as she moves her thumb softly on my cheek to take away the tear that was falling slowly down my skin. "You are so kind to me, and I just literally shot you." I roll my eyes of my own words, but Dandy smiles kindly. She cups my cheeks and I smile with closed eyes as she kisses my forehead as softly as she is. "What does that mean?" I chuckle because all of the things she does means something. Then I smile. "I'm forgiven?" I ask and she nods, with her warm smile. "Thank you." I grin, so grateful for her kindness. Dandy is sleeping peacefully. She is always peaceful, but there is nothing like watching someone sleep. She is breathing so carefully that I can barely hear it. Her eyes closed that I can't see those fascinating eyes of hers. I push her soft hair behind her ear, which cause her to take a deep, long breath and pull me closer to her. I grin as my forehead ends up resting on hers. She opens up her heavy eyes, and the tiny smiles come on her face. "Hi." I whisper to her, and she cups my cheek as an answer. Her thumb moving so tenderly that my eyes are fighting to keep them open. I give in and move down to bury my cheek on her chest. I smile of the warmth and the softness. There can't be anyone as comfortable as her, and I like being comfortable.
