I never understood the thought of losing another loved one or two again so soon. but watching the snow hit the ground around the five grave sites. my eyes went cold as ice. I felt no pain as I stared at them. my mother and father died in an accident when I was four. My grandmother passed away a few weeks after my brother went missing during a car crash we were in. long story short. his body was never found and my memory is hazy after that day. all I rember me and my brother where coming back from some party. the roads where icy and slick. I had to much to drink that night. my brother did to. but he was into to much of a hurry to get me and him out.. i had no clue why? I could see the fear in his eyes as we left there. we where far away when he relaxed. "what's wrong with you?" I asked him for the 20th time. he just shook his head and kept his eyes on the road. I was about to grab his arm. when I felt the truck hit something and we crashed. after words I couldn't remember a thing. I woke up in the hospital with tubes in me and my grandma crying. I asked her where Ryan was and she broke down stating the fact he was gone. all they found was a bunch of blood. no body. I shivered and wiped my cold hands over my blue eyes. no tears came out. they where just dead. like how my whole body felt. a honk and a yell came from a black truck behind me. I rolled my eyes. it was my uncle Stephan from my fathers side of the family. I met him once when I was young. he was tall of my 5,6 stature. he also had black hair and blue eyes with glasses. the last time i saw him was at my parents funeral. I barely knew of him. he kept his distance from me and my brother growing up. He is a teacher at a supernatural college now. Apparently he was privileged to study in the realm of vampires, witches, fairy, werewolves, and dragons. Not many humans got the chance to go to there realms and study. a college was built for the elite and rich and supernatural in this world. Not many humans attended. But i heard they allowed scholarships there once and a blue moon. guess who got picked the lucky straw on this one?...i did. and it wasnt because of my good grades either. but because of my uncle. my uncle blew the horn again. i sighed. i looked at the graves and blinked. Again no tears. Just...i dont know. "Bye dad, mom, grandma and....Ryan! love you!" i took my right hand and kissed my finger tips. i placed it on each of there graves. turned and left. as i walked to the truck. i felt my heart beat to no end. but i wish it did. i quietly slammed the truck door as i got in and buckled up. music blared on the radio. it was classic. Violen and stuff like that. i shivered. i grabbed my brothers bag that i had left of him and pulled out his black ipod. i put his music on and listened to it. the truck was all ready leaving. So i just looked at myself through the dark snowy window. my life was about to change again. i hated it. i looked at my eyes and my short blond curly hair to my shoulders and brothers black jacket and linkin park tee shirt and jeans i had on me. the snow blistered on. it took us an hour to get to the schools plane. i was nervous and a bit sick. i never flew in a plane before. my uncle turned the truck off and off we walked out of the truck and into the plane. i shivered as i took my seat. No one elt's was a aboard except me and my uncle stephan. i clutched my brothers bag as the plane started to take off. it was bumpy at first but then it was smooth sailing. my uncle turned to me about twenty minutes into the flight. he sighed as he looked at me. "Mandy! Do me a fav and dont party with the supernatural. Hearing from my mother you like to party... a lot!" i just looked outside the window. But nodded my headed. i didnt feal like partying anyways. was what i thought. my uncle turned his attention to a book in his lap as i turned my attention to my brothers bag. unzipping the back pack. i pulled out the broucher of the school. it was modern and sleek. it was also on an big island. trees and trails surrounded the school. i flipped threw the pages. it landed on the academy uniforms. vampires where red and white, werewolves where green and white, witches where purple and white, fairies where pink and white, dragons where black and white, and for humans it was blue and white. i looked at my uniform. it was cute. Nice dark blue checkered skirt with a whit tee shirt and blue tie. i read more of it. while during school time you had to where the uniform. but off school time you can whare what ever you wanted. i gulped and sighed. the plane shook. i put the broucher away. this was going to be a long....long...ride. i thought as i put my brothers iPod in. Wondering who was going to pay for my school uniforms. i mean i knew my stuff was sent to the school dorms. but....this...this was insane. i started to close my eyes and i prayed to God and to my family for a good year. i also hoped for something to make my heart open again. instead of feeling pain or...was it nothingness i felt. i don't know. that was my last thought as i drifted off to sleep.
