Manon glanced down at the bowl on the table in front of Reid, and then she glanced at Tessa. “How do you intend for us to collect this sample?” she asked Reid. Reid crossed his arms over his chest. “I’m not giving you a drop till I’ve signed something.” Without another word, Manon began to make small, circular motions with her hands, one over the other, held out in front of her. Right before our eyes, strange tendrils of light burst from a center point. Just as quickly as the light appeared, it morphed and expanded and dimmed, and Manon held a single piece of paper in her hands. I had never witnessed a conjuring spell.
