*Alejandro’s POV*
I barely got any sleep last night. I was terrified to close my eyes and wake up to not having Reina by my side. I almost lost her. My heart still hurts from the memory of everything that happened.
When we left the territory, she immediately fell asleep in my arms. She was so drained. Between the emotions of losing her aunt and everything that she had undergone, she slept the whole way. When we made it to the pack house, I woke her up, helped her shower quickly and carried her right back to sleep.
Now, I lay here watching her snore lightly in my arms. I have tried reconnecting with my wolf while she rests, but he is too focused on Aurora. He barely resurfaced to let me know that he was lending her strength and comfort.
