*Winter* “What’s taking her so long? Maybe she is in trouble?” Xander asked anxiously, making me roll my eyes at him. “She is fine. Do you doubt how strong and capable your alpha is? Anyway, I’m bored with you two, so I will just go look for her instead.” I told them before I walked away. “Gee thanks, Win-Win!” Oliver shouted his complaint over the music as I turned to wink at him. She was really taking a long time though. I wanted to make sure she didn’t go killing anyone, because she had a temper, especially lately with all the stress. I knew she went to the bathroom in the VIP section since she hated socializing with people outside our pack or even hearing others socialize. The bathroom in the VIP section was more private, so it only made sense that she’d go that way. As I reached the bathroom, a big buff guy with brown hair and grey eyes blocked me as he smirked down at me. He was wearing a fitted black dress shirt and dress pants. Both were so tight that it left nothing to the imagination. I licked my lips as I clearly checked him out. Damn, he was blessed in all ways. Not only was he tall and handsome, but I could also tell that he was a werewolf, which meant that he would fūck me really good. Once I was done undressing him with my eyes, I looked back up to his smirking face. “What is such a beautiful lady doing all alone?” he asked, his voice doing something to my lady parts, but I just rolled my eyes at his question. “I’m looking for the bathroom.” I replied, ignoring how sexy his voice was and focusing on his stupid question that only pissed me off. “This one is out of order, beautiful, but the one in the other VIP section should be okay to use.” I squinted my eyes at him as I remembered that it was definitely working before. “I can accompany you, if you’d like… You know, so nothing happens to you,” he commented with a smirk as his eyes roamed my body. “Cut the shīt. I’m not a little red riding hood.” I growled at him in irritation because I hated when men assumed that us females were weak. I bet I could beat his ass into the next century. Before he could reply, a tall figure walked out of the same bathroom that the asshole just said was out of order, making me turn to glare at him. “I thought you said it was out of order, fūcker!” I shouted as I pushed him to the side. He wrapped his hand around my arm but before saying anything his eyes glazed over, making me squint at him. He was obviously mind linking with someone. What the hell was his issue though? “Yeah. It turns out that they have already fixed it,” he smiled, before releasing the grip he had on my forearm. “Fūck off, liar!” I grumbled as I made my way to the bathroom in a hurry, hoping like hell Reina wasn’t in there alone with that guy. She was an alpha and all, but that guy looked powerful as hell. Sexy, but powerful, nonetheless. I was rushing into the bathroom and about to reach the door, when it flew open before Reina stepped out, bumping right into me, and making me fall on my ass. She helped me back up and looked towards the tall guy that came out of the bathroom with a scowl. “What the hell happened, Rei? Are you okay?” I asked her in a panic as I grabbed her hand. “I’m fine…I’m fine. Let’s go. I no longer want to be here. And don’t you mention anything in front of the guys,” she threatened as she pointed a finger at me, making me squint my eyes at her. “I won’t but tell me what happened,” I mind linked her, hoping she’d tell me now since I could be quite impatient. “I found my mate, but we will talk about it later. Just don’t say anything.” I gasped, my eyes widening as I stared at her, but before she could flip out on me, I nodded and grabbed her by the arm as I dragged her with me to get the hell out of there. *Reina* “Babe, you, okay? You had me worried sick,” Xander questioned as he inspected me for any injuries, making me grit my teeth. As if I wasn’t annoyed already. “Fine,” I grumbled, but stopped when he started sniffing me. Fūck, he was going to smell my mate and I really wasn’t in the mood for his jealous scenes right now. “What the fūck, Rei? Why do you smell like another male?” he asked in a low snarl, looking all pissed now. “Oh, nothing, Xander. Not that I have to explain myself to anyone, but I bumped into some guy on my way to the bathroom and I guess that’s who you smell,” I replied to him while shrugging my shoulders. Damn, I deserved an applause for coming up with that out of nowhere. I could have told him the truth, but I wasn’t ready to hurt his feelings yet. We’ve known each other for over eight years and dated for two of them. I cared for the dude. Regardless, what if my mate was an asshole and I had to reject him? I mean look at him already. We met and within a minute, he was already telling me how to live my life. Not on my fūcking watch! “Let’s go. I have a headache,” I told them as I turned to walk away. “Reina, are you sure that you are okay?” Xander asked again, making me groan. “Yes!” I hissed, making him lift his hands up in surrender before giving me a sheepish smile. Thankfully, he grabbed my hand and led me outside of the club without any more questions. *Alejandro* “Are you fūcking serious?” Apollo complained as I heard shuffling on the other side of the phone. “Yes. If I can’t have a good time for the rest of the night, no one can!” Yeah, I know. Asshole, right? Well, he was my best friend and I needed to talk to him about this shīt. If not, I would probably do some crazy shīt like going back and causing war. “Fine! Party pooper!” He grumbled before hanging up the phone. *** “Shīt! If you would have told me before, I would have been here faster!” Apollo replied in shock after a few seconds of having let the news sink in. “Bullshīt!” I told him as I massaged my temple. Best friend or not, the asshole wouldn’t have cut his night short unless it was life or death. “You’re right. But no, I’m serious though. That’s some crazy shīt. I don’t know how you contained yourself. First, you didn’t mark her on the spot and second, you didn’t kill the asshole? You are my role model, bro,” he announced, shaking his head. “Fūck off,” I grumbled as I paced the area. “Honestly, I must know everything about her. I have some of the guys following her every move. If I didn’t have this fūcking alpha meeting, it would be a completely different story.” “Talking about the alpha meeting. Maybe we should prepare for it. It is in a few hours.” “You’re right. Might as well since I won’t be sleeping any time soon,” I muttered before I exhaled deeply and walked towards my office in the mansion we owned on this territory. *Xander* “Babe, you’ve been so quiet since we left the club,” I commented, but stopped talking, hoping that I wouldn’t have to ask if she was okay for the billionth time since she returned from the bathroom. She almost ripped my head off the last time I asked her, which was when we were walking inside the hotel room about twenty minutes ago. I rubbed the back of my neck nervously as I waited for her response. “Yeah. I don’t have anything to talk about.” “Did you like the club?” I asked her, hoping to keep her talking. Maybe it wasn’t her style and that was why she was acting strange. “Yeah. It was okay,” she answered with a shrug as she continued grabbing clothes so she could wash up before bed. I walked behind her and began massaging her shoulders, desperate to get some reaction from her. “How about we don’t use any words?” I leaned my head forward and brushed a kiss against the skin on her shoulders. “No-o. I’m a little tired. A-and we have that meeting in a few h-hours,” She mumbled as she scurried away from my touch, which was very odd. She never rejected me and was typically just as hōrny as me. Maybe she really was tired?
