Jenna's POV

“The marriage between Malakai Storm and Jenna Storm is now declared annulled. Miss Jenna, you can return bearing your maiden name.” The judge said to me but I didn't respond

I just watched Kai turn around and walk away like none of this mattered to him. How can he say that I was at fault? He was the one who cheated, it can't be denied. That wasn't a painting, it was an actual frame, a picture that was framed and he said it was a mistake?! What f*****g mistake was that?!

My heart was heavy but I knew I was making the right decision. I can't stand him, I can't stand a cheat as a friend let alone a husband.

He was the playboy back in high school, he said he has changed but here he is. He is still the same!

Dragging my legs out of the court building, I found the car still outside. Why was the car here? Didn't he take it with him?

I bit my lower lips, trying to stop the tears from falling, my lips were quivering, my hands trembling, I broke into a cold sweat and all of a sudden, I didn't feel fine health-wise. Was it a shock?

“Jenna!” I heard my name but didn't turn because I knew who it was, it was Linda, my best friend. I told her everything through the phone and she was here as always. My only support system at the moment.

“Jenna, I'm so sorry,” she cried and this made me burst into tears as well. I was feeling dizzy and tired, I was getting weaker,

“Linda, I…” I slowly pulled away from her grip, “I feel…” and I suddenly embraced the darkness calling for me.

“Jen? Jen! Jen!”

Slowly, I opened my eyes to see myself in the hospital. I clicked my dried lips, my eyes looking everywhere until they landed on Linda.

“Hey babe,” I called her because she was asleep.

“Babe, you're awake! I'll go get the doctor” She left in excitement and went to get the doctor even before I could stop her.

The doctor came after a while and checked up on me, Linda stood beside me like a husband figure.

After a while, the doctor said,

“You're fine” and I closed my eyes as I sighed in relief

“She is pregnant.” I heard again and snapped my eyes open. Wait, what?!

“Miss Jenna, are you alright?” The doctor asked and I looked from him to Linda.

“Was it my dream, or did I hear someone is pregnant?” I asked and looked at Linda jokingly. “Is it you?” I asked and Linda sighed looking at me.

“Are you alright?” She asked, looking worried, and I nodded.

“A bit dizzy, that’s all but did I hear… correctly?” I asked, my heart racing in my chest.

“You aren't nauseous?” The doctor asked and I nodded,

“A bit”

“The nauseousness will continue. It is a side effect of being pregnant.” The doctor said and I looked at her before looking at Linda.

“What does she mean by that?” I whispered and Linda sighed.

“You are a month and two weeks pregnant, Jaz. That’s why you have been dizzy and have unexplained weakness.” She explained and I looked at her wide eyes.

“Pregnant. Pregnant! How can I be pregnant? I just got divorced!” I literally yelled.

“s**t!” I began to think of how my emotions, and not eating could have affected my child.

“You need to eat more, drink more water, and think positively, Miss Jenna. Remember, it's not just you that owns your body now. Another life is growing inside of you. I will leave you with your best friend to talk now. And you can always register for Antenatal care with us.” The doctor said and walked out.

“A baby changes a lot of things, Linda. Was it a mistake to divorce Kai? He and I are gonna have a child together. I never planned to raise a child alone, without its Father.” I said, tears threatening to spill from my eyes.

“Easy now, Jenna. You have to think of what is best for both you and your child. Remember, No sad or angry emotions. Think positive.” Linda said as I closed my eyes.

I have to start all over again. My life with Malakai had ended, it was time to think of a better way to move on. And I had the perfect idea.

“Linda. Book a flight ticket for Los Angeles.” I said finally.

I was going to do this. I'd rather live my life with my child alone than live with a cheat and a liar.
