‘Fuck... my head...’
Carly lay sprawled on the bed, her entire body aching in a way it hadn't for a long time. For a person like her who's s*x life was almost non-existent, this was a pretty fresh feeling.
She sleepily turned around, clinging onto the person beside her. Who knew her boss would be so good in bed... would it be too greedy to want this man as hers? Maybe she should take him home with her?
She groaned, sitting up rubbing her eyes groggily, but as her gaze drifted to the side, she froze.
Alexander Lennox and Christopher Lennox were twin brothers but they were also very easy to differentiate. For example, Christopher had a very obvious scar that cut across his brows and down to the top of his cheeks.
And this man.... this naked man with hickeys all over his body, that was lying right beside her. He had a scar.
This was not Alex.
"No... gosh... no..."
Carly moved away alarmed as the memories came flooding back. The grey eyes, the jagged scar that made this beautiful face dangerous.... her drunk brain had ignored every sign that the charming man she was kissing wasn't Alex.
And now....
‘Why do you mess things up, Carly?’ she groaned inside. ‘It was one job. And you blew it.’
She quietly slipped out of bed trying not to wake up this sleeping dragon. Running around the room bare-ass, she gathered her clothes and put then on as quickly as she could.
Yes, last night was a dream and she would love to grab this man back home. But at the same time, if every single article about him was right, Christopher Lennox was not a man to be trifled with.
So, she just had to out her clothes on, get out of here and apologize to the crazy lady who gave her this job. Yes, that was the way to go.
She fumbled with her bra trying to get it back on. But the poor thing was already damaged from the high intensity event last night. So, she tossed it aside and picked up her shirt.
No buttons.
She felt speechless for a second before remembering she had been almost too.... eager to get her shirt off last night. A blush rose to her face.
‘Just how thirsty are you, Carly?’
Okay, she glanced around her eyes landing on a black silk shirt on the floor. His shirt.
She hesitated between running out naked and taking this shirt away and decided that she still wanted her dignity. So, she grabbed the shirt and put it on as quickly as she could.
Across the room, Chris watched her dress up with a raised eyebrow. Of course, she was about to run away.
He'd understood that she had wanted to meet Alex but was too drunk to tell the difference. Since they were in high school, he'd always kept s respectfully distance from anyone Alex had been involved him.
First, he hated the drama. And second, he couldn't care any less.
But her...
He watched her bend slightly to pull on her shoes, her perky ass right in front of him. Then, she glanced back. Their eyes met and he could see hers widen in a panic.
She quickly snatched her purse and ran off like her feet were on fire.
He chuckled running his fingers through his hair as he got up. He grabbed his phone
On his way, something on the floor caught his eye—a card lying on the floor. It must had fallen off her purse while she tried to escape. He picked it up, it was a company ID, her full name printed boldly on the front: Calanthe Daphnis.
She worked at the company. How convenient.
He put the card down beside his phone. Well then, he would definitely be seeing her again.

In another room, Madison was already awake, staring at Alex who was still asleep.
When she'd woken up, she was so shocked to have woken up beside Alex. Carly hadn't been with him? Then where was she?
Part of her was relived, knowing he hadn't actually slept with Carly. But at the same time...
She glared at him, wishing to poke holes through his face with her glare. This damn guy was taking revenge on her, right?
Her hand moved on its own, pinching his cheek hard. Enough to leave its mark there.
Alex jolted awake, wincing as he grabbed her hand to stop her. “Maddie, what was that for?” he asked groggily.
She stared at his dazed blue eyes, her cheeks flushing as she slipped out of bed, gathering her things.
"Consider that payback," she mumbled.
Though, she wasn't quite sure what she was paying him back for. The s*x? His annoying questions? The fact that he was just a jerk? Or everything.
Either way, she left the room before he could say anything else, her heart pounding like it was about to leave her chest.
Curse him!

Carly headed downstairs for the hotel lobby, her brain in a complete mess.
He saw her! He definitely saw her take his shirt away. He probably thought she was a thief!
She wanted to burry herself in the ground from embarrassment. Why had she taken the shirt. She would have just tied her own shirt somehow and work it instead of taking his shirt. Who f*****g steals a shirt after a one-night stand?!
‘Juta, pray he doesn’t remember your face, Carly. Or your toast.’ she muttered to herself.
As she turned the corner, she ran sleight into someone.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." The both of them echoed at the same time.
Then, their heads snapped up. Carly took in Madison’s slightly messy blonde hair and the flush on her cheeks while Madison took in Carly’s odd fitting shirt that obviously did not belong to her.
Without a word, they'd both understood what had happened.
"You're still here?" Madison asked, a bit surprised
Carly's face reddened as she whispered awkwardly. "Um. I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I think I might’ve… mixed things up...." She gave an awkward laugh. "I'm pretty sure that wasn't what I was told to do."
Madison smiled at her words. "Oh, trust me. You’re not the only one who had an odd night. I'm so exhausted." She said with a smile. "Don’t worry about it though, I think yesterday wasn't so bad after all."
Carly sighed, relieved. Her poor heart really couldn't take going back to the other Lennox brother, she was already frightened enough.
She tugged the oversized sleeves of the shirt up a bit. "Well, that good news."
"Uh-huh. I'll send the rest of the payment to you. I think you might have done me a favour yesterday" As she spoke, her hands went for her bag to get her phone out.
Carly was a bit shocked. "Oh, no. There's no way I'm collecting that. I was already planning to return the part I'd received?"
"Why?"
"Cause I did nothing!"
Carly watched Madison’s confused look and really wanted to check if she was alright. Who sent money around like that? Gosh!
"Well, you don't have to pay it back. We'll call it even."
They headed towards the door and Madison asked. "Um, can I give you a ride home? You seem tired."
Carly weighed her options and right now.... this was the better option.
"Well, that'll be great. Thanks, by the way."
Carly leaned back in the seat taking a deep breath. Now, all that was left was trying not to be recognized by Chris and she'd be completely fine.
It was just a night... he definitely wouldn't remember her... right?
