"When she holds back from saying things and lets me win the arugment, laughs even at my worst joke, avoids eye contact when she's shy but suprises me with sudden boldness, I can see what's inside in those eyes of hers."

First meeting
Spring of 2016 **huff** **huff** **huff** **huff** "Taejun-ah! Be quick! I can hold the bus only for a minute!" A boy, maybe in his first year of high school, was running towards the bus where a girl, who seemed to be around his age, was waving vigorously at him to run faster. The boy gives a final push to his sprint as he leaps towards the bus entrance, landing safely inside the bus, before the gates were closed. "Phew! I'm in". The boy sighed a breath of relief with a happy expression on his face. **Twack** "Owww. Noona! What was that for?!" Han Taejun whined while rubbing the back of his head. "Fool! What's with that silly smile on your face? Is it an honor for you to be a nuisance to others? How come you both take more time than me to get ready?" Han Minsu, Han Taejun's elder sister, was ready to throw hands on her useless brothers. "These two seriously.... Wait a minute... Ya! Where's oppa?!" "Oh that. He'll take the next bus, I guess. You know what he's like." "The next bus?? He'll be late for sure. Can he not be on time on the first day of the new semester? It's his last year of school." "Chill noona. He'll be fine." "I guess it can't be helped. But I don't want mom to yell at him again.... Anyway, Jun-ah are you excited that you're in high school hmm?" Han Minsu spoke with gentle eyes and a sweet smile on her face while stroking her brother's hair. "Noona! It took me half an hour to style them. Don't touch them! Now I have to fix them before stepping inside the classroom." Han Taejun was running his hands as he was trying to check himself in the rear mirror of the bus. "Ooooo now my brother is concerned about his looks. He's finally hitting puberty, I guess." "He'S FiNaLLy hiTTinG PuBeRtY neh neh-neh neh neh-neh" Taejun mimicked his sister while making a stupid face. "Hahaha you're such an i***t. You know I can push you off of this bus, but you still risk your life for comedy. What a fool really hahaha" Minsu was fakely laughing and hitting Taejun but her eyes looked as if they could kill anyone. "WhAt A fOoL neh neh~~" "Come here you lil shi--" "Oh noona! See! We've arrived! Bye!!" "Ya! Han Taejun! Don't you think you can get away? Hump! I will get back at him later. For now, let's get ready for a good day~" "He's such a brat." Han Minsu had a smile on her face as it was the ever exciting back to school feel. It only lasts for a week though. "Hey, Minsu-ah! Here! Come up quickly!" A group of students standing on the second floor were waving enthusiastically to her. Minsu waved back with equal energy before dashing towards the stairs. "Hello my benchmate, my best friend, my sister. You're late. I thought I would be left alone on the very first day. Boo hoo~" Kang Mina cried dramatically while hugging Han Minsu. "Don't worry, I'm here tubelight. Stop being a drama queen now. Let me put my bag in first." "Okay, be quick. We've to go to the washroom before the morning assembly starts." There was chaos in the corridors as the students laughed happily, some ran while some were standing in groups. Teachers were heading to their staffrooms. After a bell rang, the class presidents instructed their respective classes to form a line and head to the assembly hall. As it was the first day of the new semester, the morning assembly lasted longer than usual. In first period, the homeroom teacher did a little greeting session while asking what everyone did in their vacations. The teacher informed that a student from the neighbouring class had requested to transfer to theirs but is absent today. The second period was P.E. So all the students were heading towards the ground while chatting on their way. Han Minsu was having the best day of the year, as the smell of spring was sweeter with her friends. The first week of school was always her favourite. When they reached the ground, the teacher was busy scolding a boy, which naturally delayed their precious play time. 'What a waste. The day was going well so far.' Han Minsu sighed. "Who's he? And can't the teacher acknowledge us first and then continue with his lectures? Seriously, he's wasting our time. I don't want to stand in the sun. I worked hard to de-tan myself during the vacations." Kang Mina whined to her best friend while covering her eye with one hand to prevent herself from squinting due to the sunlight. "I know, but it's okay. It'll be over soon, I guess. But why does he still have his bag on? Did he just arrive?" Han Minsu was kinda surprised. The boy was facing away from them, so they weren't able to read his name tag. "Late on the first day, improper uniform, long hair. Are you a thug? See this... my fingers hide completely in this dense forest of hair. And did you dye your hair? Your curly hair doesn't make this any better. What will happen to our school if we have these kinds of high schoolers? Grow up kid. You have juniors now." The teacher was ranting on and on about discipline and whatnot, but the moment he grabbed the boy's hair, he quickly averted his head. "I'll get a haircut on Sunday, but don't pull them. My hair follicles are weak, they'll fall." "You punk! Today's Monday! Sunday is a week away! Is this how you talk to your teacher?" "I'm sorry for coming late but I've already completed my punishment of running 5 laps. So I'll go now. Thank you." And with that he dashed towards the building. "This punk! Where do you think you're going? I already know your name, so let's see how far you can run, Lee Hyunju." The teacher was infuriated. He turned towards another P.E. teacher to confirm his identity. "He's the one who transferred from 2-3 to 2-4, right? I think that class has their period scheduled here." The teacher turned and gestured to the class president of 2-4 to come over to him. "You're in class 2-4 right? Make sure to inform your homeroom teacher about this. You guys can take the balls now." Choi Sujin, the class president, signed the register before instructing his classmates to proceed to the playgrounds with their choice of sport. "Hey, Choi Sujin! Come here for a second. What did the teacher say?" Kang Mina, being the gossiper she is, was ready to squeeze some juicy gossip. Choi Sujin was a sweet girl, so it was much easier for her to do so. "He said that boy was from our class. I believe he's Lee Hyunju. He told me to inform Mrs. Cha about this." "Minsu! He's in our class. It would be fun to have him considering his classy entry. I've heard about him from others. He is far from the boys of our class. Park Dongwoo is nothing compared to him. Hehe." Kang Mina was busy spilling tea to her uninterested friend. "Whatever. Do you wanna play basketball with me today or are you gonna sit in the shade today too?" Han Minsu half-heartedly asked while dribbling a basketball. "I will always prefer the latter sweetie~" Mina lazily waved her friend away while sitting comfortably on the bench by the tree. "Be careful. Maybe a bird will mistake you for her toilet." Minsu ran away before Mina could smack her. "What's up, Minsu? You're playing alone again. You wanna me to join?" Kim Sungho asked while following Han Minsu as she dribbled the ball along the court. "No thank you very much Sungho. I prefer to play alone." "Liar, I saw you asking Mina to play with you a while back. Why? You don't wanna play with me?" This made Han Minsu stop. She took the ball in her hands while giving a sweet smile. But it was so fake that it would make people cringe from afar. However, idiots like Kim Sungho just don't get the hint. "That's not true at all. I just want you to play with your friends. Plus, you know nothing about basketball. Go on and enjoy." 'Just go already. I'm trying to have some fun here dude.' Han Minsu was holding back those words though. "You can always teach me. That would be perfect, right?" Kim Sungho said with a foolish grin on his stupid face. "Ya! Han Minsu! Come here please. I need your help with something." Kang Mina yelled to rescue her friend. "Coming~~" Han Minsu abandoned her ball and ran to where her friend was. "Yo bro. What was that just now? You were really creepy, you know?" Park Dongwoo asked while placing his arm around Kim Sungho. "I'm trying hard to get her." Sungho's grin made even Dongwoo cringe. "You're a real creep. Anyway, go fill up my spot in the football team. I'll be back shortly." "Why? Where are you going?" "To check on Hyunju. He isn't here yet." Park Dongwoo made his way towards the school building. 'I wonder what he's up to now.'
