Chapter 2

Anna's Pov

When I get home, I go for a quick shower and start cooking something to eat. I ended up with something simple crispy chicken with rice. Recipe of my mother. Ah, how much I miss you. For Alice, I think to make a cheesecake that I always make okay. I spent the whole afternoon tidying up my house. The last boxes were left, so I made them all, and my home is now ready. A beautiful tiny home is what I need. As you enter the house, on the left is the living room I have decorated in gray with pink tones. A comfortable and warm living room. On the left, there is the classic dining table in cream tones which is connected to the kitchen. The kitchen is quite large, and it was one reason I took the house. I like to cook, so a large kitchen to prepare my delicacies was always what I wanted. After I was done with everything, I went to my bedroom. I sat on my wooden bed and looked at various activities I could do with the children at school. Time passed, and I decided to get ready for Alice's house.

I'm driving to Alice's house. At some point on the road, I see something on edge shaking. I stop at the side of the road and get out of the car. I approach and see a tiny fluffy puppy with an injured leg trying to get up to move on. I immediately took it in my hands and quickly put it in the car because it was already raining. I got into the driver's seat, and I thought of Alice when I told her one day that I wanted to have a dog for a company at home. She told me that an animal clinic accepts strays takes care of them and tries to give them to families. I searched for the clinic's name on my cell phone, and as soon as I found the address, I started to drive in that direction.

The puppy keeps crying, and he seems to be in a lot of pain. "Hold on, little guy, we'll go to the doctor soon, and it will be fine."

I arrived at the clinic. I turn off the engine, get out of the car go to the other side, and take the little one in my hands.

"hold on. we've arrived, little one" I get soaked in the rain and see a doctor. From behind, I know that he is tall, and built, his muscles appear from his clothes and his dark hair. I've always liked men with dark hair. He turns, and I realize that he is the most charming and sexy doctor I have ever seen. f**k is the hottest guy I've ever seen. Ignoring the saliva running from my mouth, I close my mouth and open it again to talk to him.

"Hello, I'm sorry I know it's too late, but I found this little guy injured on the road. And someone told me that you are the only one in town who will take care of it."

"Hello. I'm happy to help. Hey little guy, what happened to you? I'm Dr. Anterson, but you can call me Lucas. Let me take him."

"I'm Anna Swan. I was driving, and I saw him on the side trying to get up. I felt terrible and wanted to help him. I had heard that only this clinic accepts strays, and here I am"

He takes him in his hands, and we proceed to the examination room. After we discuss it a little, he takes it for further examinations and x-rays. He showed me to wait in an office, and after I entered, I called Alice to tell her that I would not go and not wait for me.

"Hey, Anna, are you on the way here?"

"Sorry Alice, I was, but something unexpected happened as I was coming to your house. Suddenly I saw an injured puppy, and I brought it to the clinic you were talking about. I will not come tonight. Certainly some other time. Forgive me."

"It's fine, sweety. You did the right thing. Don't worry at all. We'll arrange it again next time. As for the puppy, don't worry, it will be in good hands. They will care take the puppy."

"I already know that. I've been here for quite some time, and Dr. Anterson has been paying close attention to him."

"I'm sure. He loves animals very much. He will do a good job. Did you like him?" she asked me meaningfully. If anyone were here, they would see that I am red in the face.

"What do you mean? He seems very good and careful as a doctor."

'' As a doctor, he is perfect. And you know he's a single and perfect guy. In case you are interested."

She says definitely at the end. Let the earth open to swallow me now.

"I don't know what you mean. I'm sure he has better things to do and more interested women than me to deal with."

"I wouldn't be so sure. Anna, I have to go. They're calling me. Call me tomorrow to tell me how it went with the puppy. And the doctor. Good night." she said meaningfully and ended the call

Excellent, now she will keep asking me about Lucas. Lukas, what a beautiful name. Like himself. He returns after a while and informs me about the situation. I will give my details, and we will arrange for tomorrow's surgery. We discover that we also have common acquaintances. He knows Alice. That's why the lady said it all implied.

We say good night and leave for home. As soon as I arrived, I took a shower and went to bed. Before I go to sleep, I hear the sound of my cell phone message. I look and see a message.

"I hope you arrived safely and all is well. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Good night, Lucas." What was that?
