Adam It was after midnight by the time I got the babies to bed, myself cleaned up and everything settled from this evenings adventure. I decided on a late night snack before going to bed. I stared down at my phone wondering if Jadea was still awake. I really wanted to message her again and press her about why she had lied about everything being ok when it wasn’t. What had they all seen and I had missed? There hadn’t been any fights, no yelling or screaming or obvious signs of mayhem. Sighing, I closed messenger. It was just too late and I didn’t want to wake her. Instead, I opened my social media account to aimlessly browse and froze. One of the first posts I came to was a link to an attack at the fair.
