Chapter 49

Avelyn watched as Nathan and Jayden drive away, from the balcony of her room. A sigh escaped her lips unknowingly.

"Why are you sighing?" Avelyn got startled when Hayden's voice cam from behind her.

"You surprised me!" Avelyn turned to him.

"Are you bored?" Hayden asked, standing beside her.

Avelyn shrugged. "It's not like I have anything to do now, so..."

"Hmm...since I'm home most of the time, I can spend time with you."

"Well, that's not a bad idea!"

"You have never been here, right? Shall we go to the garden?"

"Right now?"

"Yeah!," Hayden smiled.

"Okay, let's go!" Avelyn turned her wheel chair around and propelled it forward. She got surprised when suddenly it jerked into a stop.

Avelyn looked back to see Hayden holding it by the handgrip. "Let me do this," he began to push it forward slowly.

"Wow! Is that a cherry tree?" Avelyn pointed her finger excitedly. Hayden chuckled a little.

"Do you like them?"

"Of course! They are beautiful." Hayden watched the small smile that took its place upon Avelyn's lips. "Hmm...I planted it here."

"Really?"  Hayden nodded in reply.

"Woah! Your garden is huge! I can take a stroll for a whole day and I will not be bored!"

"Well then, you're always welcome here!"

Avelyn turned in her wheelchair, towards Hayden.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Hayden  asked.

"I'm thinking."

"Hmm? About what?"

Avelyn started at him without saying anything. It seemed like she was contemplating whether to say something or not.

Then she shook her head, "nothing important." She looked around. "Let's go further, I want to see more!"

"As you wish!"
