Chapter 3:The Dream

373 Words
I woke up and felt sweat all over my face. I had a dream but that dream wasn’t entirely just a dream. It was during my send-off party when Cred asked me to dance with him. I also saw familiar faces like my family and they were telling me how much they love me. These past few days, I have always dreamt of that scene. I don’t know what it means. Maybe I just miss them so much. It has been four years since I came here to study. Although, I visited home every Christmas but that is never enough for me to spend more time with them. I went out of my bed and headed to the bathroom. I only have few days left until I graduate and I couldn’t wait for that and I am so excited to tell my parents that I made it. I know they have high expectations of me and I won’t disappoint them. I needed to hurry because I might be late for my class today. I would really remind myself to set an alarm every time I had an early class schedule. I was done changing into my clothes when my phone rang. It was a call from my Mom. I answered it. “Hey, mom, what’s up? I’m sorry I didn’t call this morning like the usual; I woke up late and now I might be late for school.” I was catching my breath after I said that. I talked really fast. Mom didn’t say anything. I looked at my phone and saw that she was still on the other line. “Mom? Are you still there?” I said while I put on my earphones and slid on my shoes. “K-Kerra, you need to come h-home.” Mom said in a broken voice. “Mom, what’s going on? Are you alright?” I stopped whatever I was doing and gave my full attention to her. “Mom?” “Y-Your Dad,” She said in between sobs. Now, I am starting to worry. “Mom, what happened to Dad?” I said panicking. “H-He’s gone. “ Mom said and those two words felt like I was stabbed a thousand times.
